Café Latin, nestled in the heart of Saint-Michel, Paris, offers a dining experience that’s nothing short of perfection. From the moment we stepped in, we were captivated by the warm ambiance and authentic Parisian charm.

The menu is a celebration of French cuisine, featuring both classic and innovative dishes. The escargots were cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor, and the duck confit was tender, rich, and simply unforgettable. For dessert, the crème brûlée was a masterpiece – the perfect balance of creamy and crisp.

The wine selection was equally impressive, with knowledgeable staff helping us choose the perfect pairing for our meal. Speaking of the staff, their hospitality was exceptional – attentive, friendly, and passionate about ensuring every guest has a memorable experience.

Café Latin is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic French dining in one of the most vibrant areas of Paris. It’s more than just a meal – it’s an experience we’ll treasure. Five stars...

My local friends frequent this lovely gem and I'm stoked that they took me here. The service was great as the staff recognized my friends and really looked after us. I had the duck confit and they each had the fish special of the day. I figuratively mouthgasmed several times. The duck was tender, crispy, so juicy and well-seasoned. The potatoes were nice. My only slight let down was the crème brûlée - but as my friend explained to me the preparation style was of the lighter eggy variety which I don't care for; I prefer the smoother denser style. That said the flavor was great and if you le this style, then by all means get it. My friends shared the apple pie like dessert (sorry forgot the name in French). They loved it.

So, nice ambience, great food, not terribly expensive....

I went here with my new fiancé after proposing a couple nights ago and had the most delicious dinner I’ve had in Paris so far since being here. We started off with the French onion soup and it was incredible! Then we wanted to try some escargot for the first time in our lives and oh my gosh the flavor was out of this world! The main course was a steak and fries for me and the duck, potatoes & onions for her which we both agreed were mouth watering. Shout out to chef Ricardo for preparing everything to perfection! And shout out to the waiters there Amghid & Chabanne for their excellent service and kindness. Nothing but good things to say about this restaurant. Easy to say it was a 5 star experience! ...

Amazing duck. Veggie curry was good, but nothing to write home about. Edit: It's months later and I've become more experienced in the realm of eating duck. I didn't want to claim that this was the greatest duck I've ever eaten, since at the time, I considered myself a duck novice. It's months later and I will say this: Nothing compares to the duck I've had here. Since returning to the USA, I've had dreams about this meal. Sadly, waking up without this duck in front of me is a waking nightmare. I am considering taking another trip to Paris just to eat this duck again. It's crispy, yet juicy, not too fatty, and worth traveling across the Atlantic Ocean for. One day, we will be reunited.

Food was average but cheap for the area. Service was good, they had free wifi, toilets and most importantly cold water. Little things that have become rare commodities while travelling around Europe. Can’t say I would trek here, it’s definitely not a destination restaurant but if you’re in the area and looking then stop here for sure. Extra info: we had to ask for wifi at the bar, there were no visible signs but they had quite a sophisticated system set up so it’s obviously something they offer.

The best meal in Paris! We had a fantastic dinner at Cafe Latin on a busy Saturday evening but were seated right away. Our waiter was super friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the food. The duck confit and veal kidney were the best dishes we’ve had in France, ever! The waiter also recommended a lovely wine that paired perfectly with our meal. I really can't recommend this place enough. If you find yourself in Paris, go to Cafe Latin - you won't regret it!
