We picked the hotel for its location and its value. The location in the Latin Quarter is amazing. You can slow roll walk to Notre Dame within 8 minutes, walk quickly in 5 minutes. Just two blocks from Shakespeare and Co. 15 minute walk quickly to the Louvre. 15 minutes from Luxembourg Gardens — GO! The metro is 150 feet from the front door. And SO much more. What we found when we got there was a small staff who was friendly, helpful, and pleasant. Gracious, genuine. Not fake nice, just good people. The room was simple, but really pleasant and clean. Hardwood floors. The mattresses were top-notch, and I'm super picky, I slept so well. The bed linens, towels were ample and high quality. Housekeeping and cleanliness, A+, and if we needed something from the housekeeping staff on our floor — sweet and gracious. Do tip your housekeepers in Paris, they are the unsung heroes of a pleasant and comfortable stay. We had zero issues with this hotel and honestly, I was sad to leave, it was just so easy, unpretentious, kind. Has an elevator, room safe, AC which worked well, bathroom was very clean and maintained, no broken tile, cozy but nice. It was an interior room which opened into a simple and nice little courtyard. The windows OPEN btw! Which we didn't discover until our last evening. The lobby isn't fancy, but it is clean and nice enough, but again, the staff makes this place so comfortable. A comfortable, clean and secure stay in an AWESOME location at a great value. Yes, we'd go back, because these people take pride in caring for the hotel. Everything was as promised, only cleaner, and the small staff is so genuine. I'll actually miss those fine people — until we go back. We loved it. (Yes, there are a lot of restaurants in that area, some of which are just touristy places, some possibly less than exceptional, but lots of options, however we chose the location for its proximity to Seine and sites, etc., knowing we'd reserve well in advance at some great restaurants around town, and we Ubered to...

For example, the bathroom has disposable paper cups instead of glasses and no other amenities other than a small bar of soap.|In addition, the breakfast room is anything but relaxing with total chaos prevailing; a case of utterly disorganized serving staff all at sea.|The breakfast spread itself is unacceptably skimpy with cheap food items- the bare minimum is provided with not a croissant in sight. There are several cafes nearby offering breakfast deals for less money and better quality.|When we requested a change to a better room we were told to leave our bags in the room and that staff would immediately transfer them to the new room as soon as it would be ready for occupancy. We left them in the room at 10 am and when we returned in the evening -8 hours later- we discovered that nobody bothered to transfer the bags. The young male receptionist on duty arrogantly mumbled that ‘maybe we were too busy with other things today’ without an apology and without making any eye contact.|This from a so-called 3 star hotel which charges 400 Euros a night!|To top it all off the TV in the room was unusable as it didn’t even have a compatible cable outlet in the wall.|The only positive here is the great location within easy walking distance of many major attractions and very close to bus and metro stops.|To summarize, the cost-value ratio here is way out of whack and for this reason we cannot...
Read moreWe were looking for a place to stay, close to where my daughter is living while studying in Paris, and found this hotel. Having been in Paris many times, this is the most centrally you can get with easy access to everything Paris has to offer. When we picked the rooms, i was a bit concerned by the size of single or double beds rooms. I decided to book the suite (room 603) Since price was just slightly higher in Jan and it is one of the biggest room as well as more charming, unique. We were very pleased overall. Room was located on top floor and was setup as a duplex with bedroom on top and bathroom, living room below. The room felt like a small charming appartment overlooking Paris rooftop. Room has a large shower as well as a brand new jacuzzi bathtub with ambiance led lights. Last floor access between 5th and 6th floor required to go through stairs on that side of the building. Not an issue for us but just be aware. Service was nice overall. If you check at the lobby desk, Hotel offer a free app with access to thousands of magazines and newspapers in pretty much any languages which i thought was really cool. This is the type of place you feel at home and we would definitely feel comfortable staying there several weeks like a pied a terre. During this trip, I also booked another room for our friend who joined us in Paris. We took the triple room for her and they texted us before our arrival to ask what type of setup we wanted for the beds. We picked a double beds setup. The 3rd bed was setup as a couch. So it didn’t look like a triple room but rather a nice larger room with couch. Room had both shower and bathtub and was nicely done. They offer buffet style breakfast at 12 EUR which...
