This 3 star rating is an average of great food with amazing flavors and generous portions. The chicken platter was delicious to say the least, everything in the plate owns its right to be there, from the garlic sauce, to the hummus to the sweet ending with the tasty baklava, everything is perfectly balanced, hence the 5 stars. The one star is for service, even when you try hard to speak the language they immediately default to English as they don’t want to deal with you in not-perfect French... and forget about removing an item (even when you might be allergic) there’s no way they can do it and their comment is “if you don’t like it don’t eat it, we don’t change the plates”, so in their minds it’s better to go to waste rather than saving some of the food for someone who will eat it. And if after you ask that they start talking in Arabic it leads you to think they might be complaining about you. Anyways, if you want to have a great lunch and don’t mind some rudeness this is a great place, despite the fact of the lack of customer satisfaction from a service perspective you will be totally satisfied with the great food they prepare. I wish they could be more patient with the tourists. And this is the proof of the amazing platter I had !!! Simply...
Read moreI refuse to spend all my money at tourist traps and end up feeling ripped off. I did some research on cheap local eateries and this one was one of the top faves I bookmarked. After passing by the streets filled with tons of creperies, brasseries, cafes...etc. I was afraid this place would end up being just like the rest of them. But after going through mazes of alley ways and streets, we finally found this place. It's a tiny hole in the all vendor with very little seating inside (about 8 bar seating).
I ordered the falafel wrap while the beau ordered the shwarma meat wrap. He originally wanted the kafta wrap but they didn't have any at the time. Both our wraps together came out to €10,90! You can't beat that at a cafe anywhere in Paris!
The food was absolutely delicious and filling! They don't use the usual thick pita bread like we do in the states which is PERFECT for me because I'm not a huge bread fan. Instead they make them nice and thin, almost like a crispy crepe.
The man who helped us spoke English and was extremely friendly...
Read moreI was really happy to bump into this lebanese resto when I was in the notre dame area! I ordered chicken shawerma and Arayes. Both were super delicious! Pita bread is freshly baked and all the ingredients are super fresh as well. The staff is super friendly. They speak french, english and Lebanese. There are 2 bar tables (4 chairs) to sit inside if you want. And outside you will find people queued and waiting for their order! Serving time is between 5 to 10 minutes max, depends on what you order and how much crowded it is. After leaving the place, i was kindly offered a piece of baklawa made in the house, super crunchy and mouthwatering....
