What a fun concept! I came for my birthday with some friends and I'm glad we did. I got a mocha and a chocolate walnut loaf, both of which were delicious. We of course came to write letters, and as that's the main draw to the café, I wasn't sure if the food would be as good as a strictly café. I was pleasantly surprised on that front.
The staff explained how the letters work, helping us to choose when we should send it (1 year, 5 years, 20 years). We got to pick the card, stickers, and wax seal. On top of these options, they have a ton of extra paper, stamps, washing tape, and markers. There is also a photo booth you can take pictures in to add to your letter (you do have to pay extra). We loved the vibe and experience, and getting to see the wall of letters when you first walk in.
The café also does seem to be electronics friendly if you want to come in to do some work. The location is a little small, so maybe not the best if you are looking for a work spot, but it is available. Almost everyone there were also writing letters.
Overall it was a great experience and I can't wait to receive...
Read moreCafé Pli in Paris offers a truly unique and unforgettable experience. What makes Café Pli truly special, though, is their thoughtful touch that goes beyond the coffee.
When you visit, you’ll be invited to participate in their unique tradition: writing a morning letter to yourself, which will be sent back to you in one year or five years. The experience is beautifully sentimental, giving you a chance to reflect on the present moment while looking forward to the future. The act of writing the letter itself felt like an intimate pause in the rush of daily life, and the anticipation of receiving it a year or so later adds a magical touch to the whole experience.
I’ll be counting down the days until my letter arrives. Until then, Café Pli will always be one of my cherished memories from Paris, and I look forward to returning next time I’m in the city! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a thoughtful...
Read moreUpdate: i went on 5 February, payed the one year letter and I got it sent on 24 of February. Bro, why did I paid so much, it was for one year. I could have go to the post to send me a letter that fast. Kinda overrated and overpriced but the concept is nice. I drank a really good matcha but for some reason it was kinda spicy and tasted like ginger. I took the one year letter and the 5 year one. You can choose the data only for the one year one, the rest will be sent on first of January of that year. No one helped me, no one explained me anything, they speaked with me only when I ordered. Maybe I didn't like it that much because of the staff. The Playlist was amazing and there was a really cozy vibe which I loved. The toilets were clean and the location is pretty spacious. I went on a Wednesday afternoon and it wasn'tthat crowded, but for weekends I recommend a reservation...
