CHARLY SAINT-HONORÉ — Restaurant in Paris

Honestly, on the night we were there, it sucked. There were 3 of us and we were looking to have dinner after a long day of walking the city.

All of the outside tables were already taken, but as the evening was warm, we were looking to sit as close to outside as possible to stay cool with the breeze. The lone waiter tried to seat us a booth inside (all the tables next to the outdoor seating, from inside, were empty).

I asked that we be able to sit there. This guy looked extremely put out by this, but agreed we could sit there. After finding only a single menu for the table, we asked for two months. Again, Extremely Put Out guy continued to be 'put out'.

We then waited for over 10 minutes for him, or anyone else, to offer us drinks. After this, we decided to leave and go next door as Extremely Put Out guy was just hanging at the front of the restaurant. He even said "bye" and waved as we left.

After going next door, with twice the full tables, the lone waiter got our drinks food order and had food on the table within 15 minutes or less.

So... If you're looking to deal with a crappy server that wants to give you a hard time, then this is you're place. If not, then...

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The food is horrible. Ordered a chicken burger and the chicken is way over fried, it was hard like a rock. If I were to throw it at someone, it would probably hurt. The buns were dry and the underside of my burger was BURNT but they just hid it. The only good thing about this place is that they have tv which shows live stream of any sport games. But please, do yourself a favour and don’t come here for lunch or dinner. It may just be good for a drink. The server was also rude and nonchalant when we told him the food was not good. So the service is bad as well. I left this place feeling like I’ve wasted money and calories. Also, they’ve been deleting the photos I uploaded of the burnt cheese and burger....

We were a table of 8, we stayed over 3 hours. One of us joined later (30min) and ordered a coffee, which was denied because « we don’t do coffee after 7pm ». Fair enough, the late comer didn’t want to drink anything as we had a booking for a restaurant in a bit. The person in charge decided that « everyone has to order something » and « it’s the law of the restaurant » (still looking for where this is written). Everyone else was having their second or third drink, and we had also ordered food, so it’s not like we were « taking advantage » of the establishment. I worked in hospitality and this kind of customer service is appalling and unworthy of the profession. We don’t recommend the place, and we won’t be...
