Well decorated small chain hotel in convenient location. Unfortunately rather noisy & breakfast not great.
The location of this hotel is hard to beat. You're just a 5-10 minute walk away from the Louvre, Musée de l'Orangerie, Musée d'Orsay, Tuileries and the Opera Garnier. It's also well located for the Metro with Opera, Pyramides and Tuileries stations just a short walk away.
I personally found the hotel to be a little noisy unfortunately. It's on a relatively quiet street but there was a fair amount of traffic noise occasionally audible from the room, mainly motorbikes & delivery vehicles. Additionally, noise was not well isolated within the hotel and we often heard the showers of neighbouring rooms. I was not able to sleep without earplugs.
I was a little dissatisfied with the breakfast. It's important to note that the breakfast staff were very friendly & helpful. The arrangements for breakfast were a little lacking however. The breakfast was mainly self-service. I'm more of a cereal person and on most days there was only 1 choice of cereal available. On some days, the cereal containers were near-empty. The situation was better but not great for pastries. On a few days, there were no Croissants! (in a hotel in downtown Paris!) Other times, the small jugs for hot water for tea were missing or empty. The overall feeling I got from breakfast was one of scarcity. I would recommend the hotel just get some new containers for presenting cereal and water/milk so guests can successfully get food/drink.
The decor was nice & modern. Staff were friendly.
I really wanted to like this hotel but unfortunately I'll be staying...
Read moreVery friendly front desk room service and breakfast staff. Hotel located on a narrow, during the day busy street and it is in walking distance from Opera, Louvre. Neighborhood is rather quiet, but with good choices of cafes and restaurants near by. Hotel itself is very small. On the 3rd floor we stayed were only 4 rooms in total. Rather small room with minimal space around the bed, small desk with a chair, quite sizable bathroom and separate WC/toilet and post stamp hallway with closet, mini bar and safe. Bed was quite comfy, and we appreciated number of pillows available, even if some of them where just decoration - nice touch. Not plush or anything extravagant but comfy. Definitely this is place to just sleep and go, as there are no amenities or a view. Claustrophobic elevator for 2. Quite steep stairs. And I guess the price tag is because of location (Place Vendome, “mecca” of the rich). Request to the hotel management: we think it would be good to install external door guest card reader, next to the door bell, so guests coming back late at night do not have to wait (waking up) for front desk crew to...
Read morePolite and friendly welcome. All staff interactions were brilliant.||Booked a Deluxe Room and I think received a Deluxe Room but it was much bigger than expected. I thought we had been upgraded to a suite.||Welcome quality chocolates and biscuits with note. Welcome drinks in the app at a simple but relaxing bar downstairs.||The property was great. Small (21 rooms), named after the author Stendhal - each of the rooms is named after one of his books.||Location is brilliant - easy walk to 4 metro stations that cover many different lines so we were about to get anywhere we wanted without changing lines. This includes several train stations and airports. Very convenient for getting around.||Room was incredibly quiet and ours faced an inner courtyard, but the street is fairly quiet and wouldn’t be an issue at night.||Wifi excellent, aircon ok.||Plenty of restaurants, attractions and shops nearby.||Breakfast room was small, breakfast was simple but very high quality including freshly cooked eggs. ||All staff super friendly. I’d stay here again...
