a local eatery, with nice staff but the food is a miss. Had a gaspacchio (cold soup) and Tuna, and my friend had seafood as a starter and tartar steak. While the food was tasty, it missed a few marks on my book. 1. the gaspaccho was served with a basil and lemon ice-cream in the middle. I know it is hot outside, but please don't mix sweet and sour (this is not an Asian restaurant) - first disappointment. Also, my tuna was consistently too raw despite my demands to have it very well done and sent back to the kitchen once (I did not feel like sending it back a second time, to avoid disrupting the flow of the lunch etc). The tartar steak came with ordinary potatoes. Should have come with fries, to be more traditional. last but not least: the "formule" (cheap combination of entrees/main course etc) only came with one choice of entree (the gaspacho) and 2 choices of main courses, whereas the menu had tremendeously more choices. I felt like second class citizen here. For all these reasons, only 3 stars. Give the place a try, but mitigate your...
Read moreAbsolutely exemplary experience here at Felix! Kind and warm welcome, Felix spoke English for us so we could understand better and explained everything perfectly. He even gave us some advice for our travels. The waitress was really attentive as well, make sure our bread basket was fully stocked and drinks were topped up. The food was nothing short of incredible. I had the courgettes to start and they were just delicious, so fresh and tasty. My husband had the tomato soup and, it too, was delicious from what he told me between mouthfuls! We shared the Cote de Boeuf which was outstanding, possibly one of the nicest we've had, the potatoes and salad were also extremely tasty. The prices were perfect and fair. The drinks were also lovely. I can honestly say that, if we didn't think it would be weird to go back every night to the same place, then we would have! It was reasonable and simply delicious. If we go back to Paris, we will visit...
Read moreWe went there hoping for a nice dinner with friends believing the high rating that was given to this restaurant. Unfortunately, I have to confirm that the negative ratings were more correct than the positive ones. We ordered the rib eye steak and asked for medium rare but instead received a steak that was barely cooked at all and cold as if it was not taken out from the fridge on time. The fish did not look appealing either and was too expensive for what it was. When we told the waitress about the food she just looked at as without any apology. I can now understand why the restaurant was empty and should have taken that as a sign not to enter the premise. The only decent dish was the appetiser which was squid and the dessert which was crème brûlée which you can hardly fail anyway. No next time for me...
