So, they're asking for a full review, and I am going to do it, showing what a Straisand effect is.
been there for a dinner. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong.
When we entered and ordered the restaurant was half empty (and it's small) and it took the staff ages to take our orders and serve us food. We waited more than 2 hours to be served eventually! Silverware was dirty. Like, piece of food still there. The staff is unprofessional, unable to answer the question ""What is inside this dish?". In French. A friend of mine wisely stated that the waiter behaved as it was a party thrown in her honor instead as she was at work and she had actually something to do. Wine was meh, and over expensive. As an Italian, I can recognize those cheap wines coming from Italy and poorly done. Ah, the Tagliatelle al Gorgonzola never saw Gorgonzola in their entire life. Carbonara with Panna? Really? The dessert arrived with hair on it. I swear, Tiramisu is supposed to be hairless. Pasta al Pesto was so horrifying my friend refused to eat it. Pasta was super oily and frankly tasted as it was done 2 days before. When confronted about the pasta, the staff INSISTED that we have to eat it. Even when we frankly told them we did not like it (as I said, SUPER unprofessional). They do not accept the CB. In 2017. In Paris.
A last note, this time not factual, but an opinion. The place seems not run by Italians AT ALL. you cannot pretend to do Italian cuisine just because you know...
Read moreThis restaurant was next door to our hotel, so we tried it. It's a cozy, neighborhood restaurant. The atmosphere and food is beyond amazing. Our first night Isobella greeted us with a big smile and Thierry, the co-owner and chef, cooked us the wonderful meal of veal in butter and sage sauce. Delicious! When we went back again we explained that, because of health reasons, I couldn't eat without a lot of sauce, so Thierry cooked a special meal just for me. These people are amazing. Isobella always has a smile for you and gives the warmest hugs. The food and atmosphere were so wonderful that we had dinner there every night. On our last night, Natalie, the co-owner with Thierry, and I believe it was her son that was the chef that night, made sure I got my special meal. They all made sure we knew we would always be welcome. You have to check this amazing...
Read moreI'm a BIG foodie and while visiting Paris I met a lovely lady named Tara on a tour at the Palace of Versailles and she raved about the "norkie" here. When I got there that night they ran out of the "norkie" so I had the lamb, WOW! it was amazing! The lady that served us was amazing! BUT the best was yet to come.... the deserts were all home made. She made a bold statement that her Pena Cota was the best in Paris, WELL it was the BEST I had! Delish. The home made peach and apricot tart was also AMAZING. I wish I had another night in Paris to have at it again. Thank you Tara (from D.C.) for this hidden gem. Recommend to...
