Hôtel de Saxe – Parisian Elegance, Eiffel Views Located on Avenue de Saxe in the chic 7ᵉ arrondissement, this boutique jewel—now under LXR Hotels & Resorts—offers refined design and sweeping views toward the Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars 🛎️ Atmosphere & Design Once a turn-of-the-century telephone exchange, Hôtel de Saxe was reimagined with bold artistry by Claudia Ravnbo and Arik Levy. Its interiors marry warm earth tones, wood accents, and dramatic striped-marble bathrooms—a visual treat in every suite Access 🛏️ Rooms & Suites Peaceful, luminous, and intentionally spacious for Paris standards, the 118 rooms and suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows, many with private balconies—rare in the city. Views include private gardens or the Eiffel Tower. Bedding is plush, and marble bathrooms add luxe detail Access 🌅 Photogenic Highlights Rooftop and breakfast views offer arguably the best Eiffel Tower vantage within the Hilton brand in Paris, especially magical at sunrise 🍽️ Dining & Amenities Guests can start the day with a curated breakfast overlooking the city. The property also includes a terrace, garden, fitness room, and sauna. 📍 Location & Access Set in the 7ᵉ, Hôtel de Saxe is just a 10–15 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides, Rue Cler, and metro stations. Yet it's calm and tucked away on a refined avenue—a refreshing base for photography excursions through Paris ✔️ Photolator Tip At blue hour, head to the rooftop or street level: frame the Eiffel in the distance, combine it with foreground lighting and window silhouettes for cityscape storytelling. Inside, use natural light to capture textures—leepled marble, leather banquettes, and sculptural lighting make for rich, editorial imagery.

The location if the hotel is very good. Seeing the Eiffel tower each time you go out is special. The rooms are clean and the beds are great. Unfortunately, there were a view things that bothered me: 1. This is a 4-star hotel. I would expect a minibar and a small fridge to keep your drinks/food cool. I have visited less luxurious hotels which had the latter and then some. 2. The rooms also did not have ironing gear. You have to request ironing gear at the reception and bring it by yourself to your room. I did not expect to do that in a 4-star hotel. 3. Upon entering the room when visiting the city in the afternoon, one of our hotel entrance cards was missing, so we had no power. Also, the one bottle you get with fresh water, was not refilled! This seems to be a little thing, but not having a minibar made this experience worse. 4. The TV in the room was not setup properly so we could not connect our phones with the incorporated Chromecast. When informing the front desk, they informed us that the technician was not in at the moment. That could be the case, but no follow-up (service) was given to solve this problem. 5. The wireless phone in our room was not charged, so we had to walk all the way downstairs to reach the front desk. These are all small things, but for visiting a 4-star hotel, the details matter and in several AirBnB's we have visited, we never faced any of such problems.

I first stayed at this Hotel in 2014 and was very impressed with the entire experience, so I valued this hotel and always wanted to return… 8 years later and I was extremely disappointed. I booked a superior villa room, and we was given room 6. This room is located on the ground floor directly behind the reception reception desk on the ground floor. The receptionist (skinny white male, 40+ years old) who checked us in on 15/12/22 at 11:30pm was very rude, awkward and sarcastic during the check in process. When we got to our room, we felt it lacked privacy being on the ground floor with only a wall between us and the main reception area, the Toilet was also in a separate room with no sink, meaning anyone who uses that toilet would need to open the door with their dirty hands and walk all the way to the bathroom to wash hands. There were also mascara stains on one of the pillows. We requested if we could change to another room on a higher floor but to the same level for what we had paid for (superior villa room). The receptionist said this was fine, and changed us over to another room on the 5th floor. We were really happy and grateful until we got to the room, only to find this room was actually a downgrade to a ‘classic villa room’ which felt much smaller and wasn’t very nice. This also wasn’t explained to us prior to him changing our rooms over. We returned to reception and asked why we had been out in a downgraded room, his response was he didn’t realise and this was a mistake in his behalf. I asked him if there were any other rooms to the same value as what I had paid for the superior room available on another floor. I was told out of the entire hotel there was only two rooms left, the one behind reception, or the classic room on the 5th floor which would be a downgrade. We reluctantly opted to stay with the original room behind reception. The receptionist was very smug and seemed to find this funny. After settling in and falling asleep… 6:30am a motorbike wakes us up, as our room is located beside the main entrance and reception we hear every car or motorbike dropping off, or picking up guests, and every person checking in or out. 7:15am the bins are collected, again very loud and as our room is right next to this area we hear it all. It really seems standards have significantly dropped since we last stayed. Service seems to be poor and cleanliness of the hotel not as good as before, an overall terrible experience and if it wasn’t so late when we checked in I would’ve booked another hotel because the receptionist was so rude.On a side note, I must also say there was another receptionist who was working the night shift the following day (16/12/22) around 10pm and he was very friendly, helpful and a nice person. If I could give him 5 stars I would, but unfortunately the experience with the initial receptionist meant our experience was already tainted by this point. I doubt we will ever return unfortunately, and cannot recommend, unless your guaranteed a decent room on a...

My husband and stayed at this hotel for nearly two weeks in July and our adult son stayed in another room for 8 days. We were all very pleased with our stays. The rooms were clean, quiet, had room safes, great luxury linens, hair dryers, A/C, etc.

Every staff member was amazing! I emailed to ask questions prior to our stay and responses were timely. They recommended a car service from the airport. The front desk folks were very welcoming as were the folks in the lounge area. They stored our luggage prior to check in. They assured us it was fine to eat the bread and cheese we bought in the lounge when we did not want to eat dinner out and even provided plates, napkins and silverware to do so. They always refilled our water carafes and reserved a taxi for us when it was time to depart.

The lounge was very comfortable and equipped with a high end coffee/hot beverage machine and an honor bar. They also provided tea, cookies and dates in the late afternoon. We met some very nice guests there from all over the world who were attending UNESCO meetings.

The multi-level outdoor terrace was beautiful and nicely landscaped. There was hand sanitizer on each floor outside the elevator.

The exercise room was not very exciting but we did so much walking and site seeing, we had no need to use it.

The location worked very well for us. We walked a lot and there were several metro stations nearby. From Ave de Saxe we had great views of the Eiffel Tower. There was a market and a Boulangerie/patisserie down the street (croissants, pain au chocolate, quiche and cheesey bread were family favorites) and several restaurants nearby. (Skip Le Bistro de Breteuil but any establishment with at least a 4.5 rating was fine.)

There was a market on Ave de Saxe Thursdays and Saturdays.

We would definitely stay there again. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our...
