We had a lovely stay at the Vic Eiffel and would return in a heartbeat. The staff were all wonderful, especially the evening and night staff. Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to be helpful, to give directions and to provide tips. While I'm not fluent in French, I was able to speak French about 80-90% of the time and the staff were helpful if I had questions even when I stumbled over my French. Morning breakfast was great. Fresh bread, cheese, jams, coffee and tea. The cooked eggs bacon and beans were sometimes a bit dry in the morning but nothing too terrible. Rooms were roomy enough. My father loved the coffee machine in the room and raved about it each morning. Showers were large and HOT which I appreciated as our hotel in London had a terrible shower. The showers here had lots of water flow, and both a mounted shower head and a movable one. Rooms were always clean. Elevator is very tiny (can't fit more than 2 people in it) but we managed. We booked a room with a view but were placed in a room that looked over more the shed area than the open garden eating are (but it wasn't worth complaining about. View was still acceptable). Rooms were very quiet and they had black out blinds which were a major plus for tired travellers. The only critique I have is that the lighting in the bathrooms was very poor. Trying to do my makeup in the morning was a challenge as I did not have enough light to see properly. I would highly suggest putting in a higher wattage light bulb or switching to the long term bulbs that are much brighter. Aside from that it was great. Thank you for a wonderful stay. The breakfast morning staff were so sweet. One lady went out of her way to get me my favourite tea (earl grey) and when we left in the morning on the Eurostar she had packed Pain au chocolate in a little paper bag for me as she knew they were my favourite. It was the little things like this that endeared us to your hotel and we will definitely return the next time we are in Paris!...
Read moreThis is the most lovely hotel. I treated my partner as it was his 60th birthday and neither one of us was disappointed. ||The first thing to note is that the hotel was extremely conveniently located. From the airport we were able to get a train and then the Metro. This took us directly outside the hotel. This also made it convenient to get back to the airport. It’s a short walk to the Eiffel Tower which means that you can see the light show in the summer evening and only have to walk back to the hotel. On the other side of the Eiffel tower you can access the river and all of the boat cruises. In the opposite direction to the Eiffel Tower is a kind of high street with plenty of shops. What ever direction to turn are lots of lovely places to eat and get a Coffee. ||The second and most important for me was the amazing service that the hotel provides. They really do go out of their way to help you and make sure you have a comfortable stay, there is always someone at reception. Vincent sorted out various issues for us with TV (this was us be stupid and not really and issue with the tv. Vincent was very patient with us). He also fixed our coffee machine. Before hand as it was broken he allowed us to have a coffee each from the breakfast area, which was a lovely area to sit and relax. The hotel itself, very clean and tidy. There is always someone cleaning some part of the hotel. The room was cleaned every day with tea coffee towels ext replaced. The L,occitaine toiletries in the bathroom made it feel a little more luxurious as well. All staff were very friendly and approachable. I only wish that I actually carried cash around with me to leave a tip these guy’s truly deserve it. I most definitely will be visiting and staying at this hotel again and will make sure to...
Read moreHaving stayed in a few hotels in Paris, Hotel Vic Eiffel has got to be the best for me, so far. The room I have been given on the two occasions I have stayed here, is cosy and clean.
The attention to detail has got to be the best thing about this place. If you are a coffee lover, the room is equipped with a Nespresso machine and for the tea-lovers amongst us, teabags from Kusmi are provided. My favourite are the L'Occitane bathroom products. I feel very pampered when staying here.
One thing I struggle with when staying in a hotel in Paris is a getting a good night's sleep and this is mainly because a lot of hotel rooms in the city are small and stuffy. Although the room I stayed in is small, there is more than adequate air conditioning and the bed provides a comfortable night's sleep. Also to mention is the good noise insulation in the room.
Breakfast is continental and my favourite are the tasty mini chocolate-filled donuts. The staff are also very professional, helpful and friendly.
Although I didn't think there was anything to improve in the hotel, I see that since my first stay (which was only 6 months ago), rooms have been re-floored, air conditioning has been re-fitted and there is a nice outside seating area for having your breakfast. It's good to see that the hotel are continually looking at ways to improve the experience of stay for their Customers.
All in all, Hotel Vic Eiffel is perfect for when you are visiting Paris, with the metro and famous landmarks in easy reach. I would highly recommend you...
