Small and cute store that sells castella cakes and there is an option to eat in store (8-10 tables or so).

Wide variety of flavors of mini castella cakes and other types of cakes ranging from vanilla to matcha to purple sweet potato.

We had three different cakes, Traditional - the classic sponge cake, slightly fluffy texture and very subtlety sweet. Personally I prefer a slight more sweeter but for my girlfriend it was the right amount of sweetness. The Purple Sweet Potato Fu Roll Cake - Purple sweet cream and cake on the outside with inside real pieces of purple sweet potatoes. It carries some earthy and nutty notes and its a blend of sweet and savory. And the Fuji Cake - Castella cake with pandan filling between each layer with a small layer of coconut sprinkles on the top/side of the cake. Very balanced and the pandan filling doesn’t mask the flavor of the cake however you barely notice the sprinkles of coconut. Still my favorite out of the three.

This place is recommended for those really into castella sponge cake and for anyone else that likes sweets or cake, a worthy visit if you ate in the vicinity.

I should have listened to the reviews abt the rude personnel.. Before I had bought quick things there out of convenience and recently I just thought of taking my time sitting there for a drink but ended up leaving before ordering as the female staff had such a bad attitude when I asked for a recommendation. If she didn't have any, that's fine but it was the way she said it that completely threw me off - she just told me to look again at the whole menu as everything is there with the eye rolls lol. I was truly impressed by the cake here. It has an incredibly soft texture and a perfect balance of sweetness—much lighter than the typical Japanese castella. The cake is delicate, with a refined taste that’s not too sugary or buttery, making it one of the most unique I’ve tried in Paris.
