Hotel is centrally located in a less busy street & neighbourhood, which is excellent. 5 mins walk to Les Gobelin metro. And 15 mins walk to the Grand Mosquee of Paris. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Front desk staff are friendly, helpful and speak good English. The room is very clean and beds are comfy. Even the sofa bed is great with complete beddings. Step out of the hotel and you know you are in the middle of Paris. Great feelings !!

Wish I had stayed more than one night here! I had been staying at a much more expensive hotel in Opera and it was nowhere near as good at this hotel. The staff are really polite and helpful and I called down after arriving to see if they had any shaving kits and they immediately provided me with two. The room was upgraded due to availability, for free, which was a bonus. My room had a bath and the bed was massive and really comfy.

This hotel was okay at most. The best part of it is the location. Just a few blocks away from the train. The area is cute with all the giant teddy bears in random stores. The front desk staff was were nice too. However, there were a few things that I didn’t really enjoy:

The bathroom - huge but there is no curtain or door in the shower, so the water splashes everywhere.

The room - was sooo tiny for two double beds. I kid you not when I say the one wardrobe at the foot of the bed touches the bed when opened. There is a small hallway between the door, bedroom and bathroom… and by small I mean it can fit one open suitcase and doesn’t leave any room to walk around it. Our suitcase was literally in the way with nowhere to store it. Aside from the one small wardrobe (which we put one of two suitcases in), there aren’t any other drawers. So we had to open the suitcase to grab clothes, then zip it up and store it up against the door.

You have to leave your room key at the front desk before you leave for the day. They probably don’t have a master key.

Misleading booking - mentioned laundry service in bookings.com. We asked the front desk and apparently it’s a public laundry place across the street.

Early breakfast - we paid for breakfast during booking. We had to leave at 6am to catch the train and the hotel mentioned that we just have to let them know and request an early breakfast so we did. On the day of our early breakfast, we went into the dining area only to find out the cook hasn’t even started yet. No apologies whatsoever. She looked like she had no clue why we were there. However, when she did make breakfast, it was delicious!

Parking - we didn’t have a car but didn’t see any hotel parking. We were dropped off on the street where we weren’t allowed to stop so we had to rush out of the cab as there wasn’t any hotel...

We stayed 5 nights at des Gobelins in July. My family and I had a great stay. The rooms are a little on the small side, but we booked two rooms for the 4 of us and the hotel was very accommodating to have them beside one another. It was tough to have two suitcases open and walk freely around room, but was not that big of a deal. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and bright. The street in front of the hotel can be noisy, but with the windows closed, it was surprisingly quiet. Washrooms were clean and larger than expected. Big lobby, so not crowded when checking in. |The hotel was close to Metro stations (and Buses) so very easy to get around. Lots of nice Boulangerie, restaurants and grocery stores within easy walking distance from hotel. The neighbourhood seems vibrant and safe. It was easy to get from the major attractions to the hotel as well, so it was not a hassle to go back in the afternoon to have a break. Our rooms had A/C so was very comfortable temperature, as Paris was very hot when we were there. |We choose not to have the breakfast, so cannot comment on that. The hotel does have an elevator, but it is very small and tight, so quicker to use stairs if you can. |Overall it was a great stay. If you are looking for a nice little hotel for good value, I would recommend...

We stayed here for 3 nights during our visit to Paris. The hotel staff were all very friendly and welcoming. ||The hotel has a 24/7 reception which was ideal as we arrived late into the evening. Our room was on the 4th floor and looked out onto the Avenue. At night we didn’t notice any extra noise and it was quite peaceful. The room was clean on arrival and cleaned every day. The room we had was quite tight on space but it didn’t matter as we were out sightseeing for most of the day. ||The breakfast buffet had a good spread of things on offer. Fresh bread and pastries, cheese, fruit and cereal. Coffee and fruit juice. The room is quite small but the staff were very helpful and made sure you had everything you needed. ||The location of the hotel is ideal as there are metro stations within walking distance. The hotel itself is in the Latin Quarter and there are some lovely cafes and restaurants all within walking distance. Rue Mouffetard is lovely to walk through and is very close to the hotel. You can walk up to some of the main sites in just over an hour or take the metro. ||There is a nice cafe next door to the hotel and the hotel wifi is very good. There is also a supermarket near to the hotel. ||Overall we were really pleased with our stay and would happily return...
