Walked in on a Sat afternoon around 5:30pm. There was a small line. Mostly people waiting for take out. The host/cashier took care of everyone, sat a couple before me outside (there were about 3 tables outside the restaurant). I opted to sit inside (it's a little tight but I was the only one) It looked like a family-run restaurant because the atmosphere was casual but cozy. I ordered the vegetarian spring roll , beef pho and a perrier. Food took a little bit to come but totally worth the wait. The spring roll is crispy on the outside and pipping hot inside. I didn't like the sauce that came with it but instead used sirracha. Yummy. The pho came out after and the soup was aromatic and tasty(not salty) Wish there were more brisket because it was cooked tender and just delicious. The brooth is light but so flavorful. I also used their condiment (the clear vinegar with garlic pieces and red pepper) with the pho. It was a really good meal. They also gave me a free dessert...which is again so good.... mango saga pudding. Not too sweet but perfect touch to wrap up my meal. Service was casual but very welcoming. Love to be back again and try...
Read moreI had a late dinner here around 10pm and this was one of few places in the area that were still serving food. It’s a small restaurant with limited seating outside and only a few tables inside - and many patrons seem to order take-away. Given that it was a very hot day in Paris, the inside seating where I was felt a bit stuffy but it was not too bad. I went for the steamed shrimp dumplings as the side and the Bò Bún Pork as the main (pork, rice vermicelli, mung bean, lettuce, coriander, cucumber, mint, marinated carrots, fried onion, peanuts, sesame, 3 fried nem spring rolls of your choice). The dumplings were tasty but the Bò Bún main was even better. It tasted very fresh, balanced and light, while the nems brought crunchiness and succulence to the dish, so that it was overall a really satisfying meal. The pork was cooked nicely, was tender and had a slightly smoky and salty flavor that completed the freshness of the vegetables and noodles nicely. The orders took a while to arrive and the service was functional (a tiny bit on the slow side) but the delicious food definitely made...
Read moreI came here a few months ago and my experience was very unpleasant. I came with my boyfriend and he ordered a bowl of pho and i ordered a bowl of chao suon (porridge). obviously the kitchen area is directly in front of us so we could not help but look as they are cooking. I noticed that my porridge was heated up in the microwave and it made me feel really uneasy because I don’t know how long ago that was made, and when I did receive my food, it was not thick it was quite wet. when my boyfriend received his food, he was happily eating it until he realised there was a bug in his soup, which we were very disappointed with, and we reported it right away. they did indeed compensate us for the meal, but I would likely never come back to this restaurant, and I feel sad that people don’t know that this is how they run their restaurant, they are giving fake five star reviews. The head chef is called chef Mike...
