The staff at Les Frangines was very friendly, spoke very good English, and was very happy to accommodate us when we knew very little French. The food was excellent. We ate dinner there on two separate occasions. The first night my wife had an excellent salad, and a super-delicious raviole that was almost like a casserole. I had the underside of sirloin steak with fries and a plate of cheese for dessert. Their wine selection was great as well. The waiter recommended a bottle of "Quincy" which was fairly priced (23 e) that was a nice crisp semi-dry white wine. Portion size was very fair and price was not bad. With a bottle of wine we topped out at about 70 euros. We tried the Tiramisu the 2nd night. It was excellent. I highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the 14th arrondisment or nearby. The service was somewhat slow by American standards, but realistically on par for Parisian standards (they like to take their time with the meal). The quality of food and the atmosphere is able to overcome any...
Read moreThe bartenders are extremely impolite- the restaurant has happy hour for beer and wine from 5pm to 8pm. We got seated at 7:55pm and when bartender came to ask for our orders at literally 8:01pm, she said that happy hour does not apply anymore.
Also, the restaurant states on the website that they have special price for starter + main dish + desert, when in reality she charged us individual prices for each item.
I ordered burger as a main dish and she brought me a stale and expired ketchup on the side....

PremiĂšre fois : commande d'une salade. Du vinaigre balsamique avec quelques feuilles vertes. Immangeable. Genre vraiment.
