It was a great classic dinner in Paris - the onion soup, steak and crème brûlée were 10/10. The place has a good atmosphere, friendly waiters. You feel very comfortable on the street, unlike the restaurants in the center, this area is just as beautiful, but quieter and less crowded in the evening. But there is a certain moment, if it hadn’t happened, the restaurant would be just a model of service in our eyes. We ordered a medium-rare steak, and they brought a piece that was half well-done, half medium. At first, a manager did not argue with the request to redo, the manager took a look and agreed that the steak had been in the pan for too long. But then the "theatre" began with persuasions that it is difficult to cook meat uniformly, everything depends on the meat, etc. As a result, the steak was redo with the words "then we will not cook it a bit so that it is inside as you requested"...And they brought a blue steak, not medium, as ordered. I'm okay with that, I agreed to this option, but it will not suit everyone. It turns out that the kitchen does not know how to make a steak of the right roast, and this is surprising, because in general everything else...
Read moreWe often come to L’Endroit – almost like locals by now – and it never disappoints. This time we brought some friends for Sunday lunch, and once again it was a great experience. Beyond the food, what really stands out is the courtesy. Our waiter not only laughed at my silly joke about my wife’s “order disorder,” but was also genuinely kind and welcoming to our foreign guests – not something you always find in Paris. The restaurant keeps its local charm, and the team handles everything calmly even in the busiest moments. My Caesar salad was exactly what I hoped for: crisp, generous, and satisfying. True, we were surrounded by a few bees, but with some laughs and a bit of help from the staff (who kindly offered us an indoor table), it wasn’t a problem. And then came the highlight: the profiteroles. I’m passionate about them, and this one went straight into my personal top three. A warm, rich chocolate sauce over a soft pastry with crunchy nuts and smooth vanilla ice cream – an absolute dream. Adding also my friend’s pavlova: a work of art. Great place, great team – highly...
Read moreArrived here on a week day after work about 8pm without a reservation. We were promptly seated without having to wait although the restaurant was almost full. Serveur was very attentive, spoke English and asked if we needed English menu.
Simply loved the Budha Bowl I had, it looks tiny but very filling. It is essentially a healthy mix of quinoa, rice, fresh vege, herbs, pomegranate topped with half cooked salmon doused in refreshing yuzu dressing.
On the side, we ordered sweet potato fries which was delicious but was quite disappointed with the regular fries - it reminds me of frozen fries that has gone soft. If you like bread, strongly recommend you order the hummus to spread on their sourdough bread that is served warm.
Prices are reasonable considering the portion and location. Sit outside if you like people watching with a church as...
