Staff is really unkind and stressed which makes the experience here really unpleasant. We asked for a breakfast with bread, jam and butter, other pastries and two coffees. They brought us only a small butter for half a baguette so after finishing it, we kindly asked for another one but we were asked to pay 1.20⏠for it and were told that she gave us extra bread and thatâs why it was not enough... We are in France butter is usually the basic that you receive for free at the table. Plus the butter was âPresidentâ which they probably buy for 5 cents. Not to say that I order weekly pastries and salty pastries for my events every week. I will make sure to go elsewhere from now on. As someone already said in the comments, there are so many other bakeries with kind people which make a good experience, so its better to...
Read moreVery happy with our to-go lunch from here, a spot that we just stumbled up on while passing by. Two of us enjoyed the lunch for less than âŹ20 that included a huge slice of salmon quiche, salad, sandwich, apricots pistachio tart, two bottle of water, a croissant, and extra baguette they put in the to-go.
The good price contributes to the formula deal ( aka set menu). Sandwich + dessert + drink = the price of the sandwich you pick + âŹ4, and you can pick a desert priced up to âŹ3.50. Quiche + salad package is âŹ7.50.
Besides the croissant i wasnât too wild about ( decent thought, just not extra special) I was very happy with the rest, especially the salad and the quiche! Will definitely patronize again.
FYI each price tag has two numbers, the top cheaper one is to-go price and the one below is the...
Read moreI often go to Boulangerie Jocteur and recommend it simply because it is the closest boulangerie to where I live. However, I will not be returning after a very unpleasant interaction with a staff member there. He was visibly exasperated when I ordered pastries for 10 people, and when he rang up my order announced loudly "Next time call ahead of time; it would be much simpler!" Mind you, when I asked for my order (which took approximately a minute and a half) I was the only person in line so I was not holding anyone up. When he rang me up there were three people waiting to place an order. There are so many wonderful bakeries in Paris with kind, friendly staff who are happy to help. I will not be returning to Boulangerie Jocteur, nor will I be recommending it...
