La Traversée — Restaurant in Paris

My partner and I visited La Taversée during our holiday in Paris because it was recommended to us. However, I would not recommend eating there. The service was ok, the waiters were friendly but inattentive and spent most of the time talking to each other instead of paying attention to the guests. The most of the food was also just ok. It’s definitely not as fancy as it looks on the pictures online. For the quality also a bit overpriced. The reason we’ll never visit the restaurant again, however, is another matter. We ordered the charcuterie board and because they put so much meat on the board we took some of it home because we couldn’t finish it. The next morning we wanted to have the leftovers for breakfast but literally less than 12 hours after we left the restaurant there was mold on the mortadella. How is it possible that they serve meat which has mold on it (and it was a lot!) only hours later? It must have already been bad the night before. We were disgusted but also relieved that we did not eat any of the mortadella which was moldy the night before. Otherwise we might have gotten sick. This is unacceptable and extremely dangerous. If you have no intentions of a half decent experience in terms of service, save your euros and eat across the street at sacre fleur and avoid this establishment. On a Saturday night, it was severly understaffed - on top of that, one of our dishes which included bread, the server/host brought us 2 small cold pieces (20 minutes after intially receiving our order). To add insult to injury, she topped off the table next to us with a second full portion. Not once did she come ask us how our meals were. Did not feel welcomed (whatever the reason was - our experiences in Paris were wonderful up to this). I would like to note the bartender was kind and very pleasant.. she was also very busy but at least, made the experience enjoyable. Good for a couple drinks nothing else, food was good, but...

We went here on the last night of our stay in Paris since it had decent reviews and was close to where we were at the time. The service was by far the worst I had during my entire stay in France. We were basically ignored most of the night, having to constantly flag down the waitress for any type of service.

Once we got our food, we weren't provided any bread to eat with our cheese plate. We waited about 10min and finally asked for some. 5min later she came by and gave a basket to our neighbours for their 3rd refill! We asked again and she brought us 2 pieces and told us they were getting more. After another 10min we got a full basket with no apology. Definitely would not come back here.
