I went there because someone recommended me that the food is good but I was super disappointed with their service. The bald guy wasn't nice. We nicely asked him to take a quick photo because we were at our friend birthday but he refused to do and said that he's busy and the fact there was only 2 tables occupied and he didn't even do anything after. We asked for spicy sauce and he didn't care, act like we aren't there. We asked for 4 plates and spoons, he only gave us 2 plates and no spoon. When we wanted to quit the place, he said "please throw your box outside" when there still was some cake inside the box. I mean i was working in some restaurants and i don't mind if the client uses my trash. He was the worst server ever. Even my friend said "i think he's racist" as we are Asian and wearing hijab. At the end i threw their tissue outside. If I were the boss I'd definitely fire him otherwise many client would be unhappy and bad for the future. I almost never write this bad reviews but this was really disappointing. Anyway. The food I had was fine, but...

This restaurant is right next to Cambodjan Restaurant Mondol Kiri. At Lao you eat Out, At Mondol you have dinner. At Mondol you Get courses, friendly attention and nice surroundings. At Lao you Get a table, Bright lights, plastic menu with pictures low service and.. You Get all Your dishes at once and all together.

The Food is good at Lao. But not very refined. The prices are low. You can have dinner For 2 for 40€ (1 bottle of beer included).

So.. If you are Hungry or in a hurry or short on money or with a big Family.. You go to Lao. You want to have a nice dinner, nice evening, spent some extra money, drink some beer or even a wine en Get some good service.. You go to...

We had lunch here after Sunday church services at Hillsong Campus at Place d’Italie based on the Google rating and it’s proximity. Absolutely no regrets! Everything we ordered was excellent especially the Crispy Roast Pork, Thai Papaya Salad, Minced Pork Fried Rice, Pad Thai Noodles and Fresh Soft Shrimp Rolls. The tastes were all fresh and very well seasoned. While this was regarded as a Laotian Restaurant, the dishes came from all over Indo-China. Portions are also very generous. Wow! We are from California where we have many mixed Asian cultures in the same town. This restaurant is the perfect blend! Most times I don’t trust when restaurants have items from a few different cultures because the food does not taste authentic or blend together well. I’ve grown in household of Laos/Thai, Chinese, and Hmong culture - now Vietnamese as my husbands parents are from Vietnam. Everything we had was truly authentic and tasteful. This place has a special place in my heart every time I come to Paris again.

Thoroughly enjoyed the chicken soup with green beans and bamboo shoots (I think) in a spicy coconut-milk broth and "water spinach," which we ordered without its standard oyster sauce - garlicky and a little spicy. Nice bowls for soup. Good, friendly service. A table near the window gives views of the park across the street.
