My husband and I lived right down the street from Le Refuge des Moines for a year and a half. We always joked that it really was a refuge for us. After a summer day battling crowds we could return to a "real" neighborhood (17th FOREVER!) and enjoy a perfectly prepared meal in the chic setting of Le Refuge des Moines. The chef uses fresh ingredients and the menu changed regularly to reflect that. Between us, we must have tried every dish on the menus and were never disappointed. We only once ordered wine on our own, because Milan (the owner) always knew exactly what to pair with whatever we ordered. When friends came to town, we ALWAYS took them to the Refuge and they couldn't get over how lucky we were to have this little gem right down the street. We couldn't get...

Traditional French cuisine with great service. The wine cellar has a wonderful selection and the staff is there to help you find exactly what you're going to want to drink, from big and small wineries. The prices run a little on the high end but the portions are good sizes and the quality makes it worth it. For four people we spent 180 euros which included two bottles of wine, four main dishes, and two desserts. We has the filet mignon, magret du canard, salmon (quickly seared on one side and raw on the other which was super interesting), and sole meuniere. Be sure to reserve in advance as there are only a handful of tables and also note that around 9:30pm is the last service. Also what I like about the place is that even if the food seems pretentious, the...

I have walked past this restaurant many times in the last few months. It looked inviting and there was always someone in early and leaving late working in it. Good sign in my book. I finally went for lunch for my husband's birthday and what a find! The service from Milan was superb and the food was outstanding. Fresh, well prepared and presented. The onion soup was not only the best I had in Paris, but the best I had ever. Everything was perfect. So if you live in the 17th, be sure to go. You will not be disappointed. It is truly a treasure. Oh and the wine list is great too. Thank...

Not very often that you have a meal and an experience which has nothing you can nitpick about! We had: - the bream ceviche which was an enjoyable entree - a bit crunchy with a sharp acidity - the lamb rack with garlic confit (cooked *perfectly* and loaded with flavour. The garlic was perfectly balanced and not overpowering), and - the market fish 'with carrot three ways' (which was not only a pretty dish but a textural experience!). Additionally the restauranteur is also a qualified sommelier and can recommend wines to pair with your dish. Highly recommend!

I recently visited this restaurant and was blown away by the amazing service and delicious food. The owner was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The Poitrine de porc (pork belly) was exceptionally tender and flavorful. While the riz au lait (rice pudding) wasn't my favorite, my friends loved it. The cozy ambiance added to the overall charm. I highly recommend this restaurant. The toilets are stylish too :)

We found this cute lttle French restaurant right around the corner of our hotel! The place had lovely background music and super cozy. The owner gave us a warm welcome and suggested a gorgeous wine with our meal. The Food was amazing from appetizer to dessert! Delicate flavours celebrating the ingredients and what a gorgeous presentation! A must visit when in Paris! We wished we didn’t have to leave the next day as we wanted to go again!
