Le Troquet — Restaurant in Paris

At the beginning of the service everything seemed quite fine, the lady who served us first was lovely. Then a gentleman came to take over the service and after ordering, the appetizer arrived, I had salmon and avocado tartare (which was more avocado and a bit of salmon) but the flavours were fine. My main course was the vegetarian tagliatelle which to my shock came with an unexpected guest (a hair) whch I removed and did not make a fuss until... I found a second hair. I called the waiter and quietly showed him the hairs and without an apology or anything he took the plate and said he'll bring a new one. after quite a long wait ( my friend had finished all her food) my dish came out and clearly was the same as before. I didn't say anything until... another hair appeared! I, once again and embarrased called the waiter and quietly said that there was still hairs...he then got upset and I am pretty sure he said to me to eat it anyway. I was shocked! I said I would choose something else and went for the scallops casoletee ... it came cold and with uncooked scallops. I work in hospitality and I do understand that mistakes are made and things happen which is the reaon why I didn't make a fuss but I do believe that this gentleman could've at least apologised but sadly I didn't get anything near... I am afraid I would no recommend this place to anyone as the service from this person and the carelessness from the chef let down what it could've been a...

The server is good and the food is also satisfactory except one of the main dishes.

One main dish(Cod) was good, but is it normal that the duck is served as almost rare? The wing was cooked normal but the roast was… As you can see in the picture, it’s rather bloody raw meat. Furthermore, the knife wasn’t well sharpened so it was very hard for me to cut the duck to eat. Maybe it’s because that I’m not familiar with the mallard duck, but I’m still confused whether the problem was...

I hate to do this. But I’m sorry…. The food was just uninspiring and tasteless. In an area full of French restaurants that will blow your mind, each dish was just not that good. Was hoping for a neighborhood place that was a hidden gem. When we came in on a Saturday night and it was nearly empty, that should have been my clue. Ugh. Wasn’t cheap either. I was pretty embarrassed because I chose...
