Les Bottes de 7 lieues — Restaurant in Paris

The owner and the chef is adorable. He explained everything about the food and we loved the concept. But….. The food was mostly good, but….. we arrived at 19:30 and left at 23:20….

There were no one responsible for the front of the restaurant, so the chef could not just focus and cook…. We ordered most of the dishes that was supposed to be cooked in advance, but it took for ever for the dishes to come out….

And on top of that, in the middle of the service instead of cooking for hungry customers- the chef was cooking for his relative who came in dishes not appearing in the menu…..?????

When the food finally arrived- there were confusion and missing dish, main dishes were of a disappointing size and not the same between them. (Same dish for 1 person had double the food than for the other) . Only pasta dish was of a good size.

Only go there if you want to spend all evening at the restaurant and you don’t have train to catch…

Hope the owner will see this review and get professional help, because we loved the concept and I wish this restaurant...

What a great evening. We chose the place randomly and in the end discovered it to be a hidden delight. The waiter/chef was so friendly and amusing sharing stories with us, and listening to ours too. The evening was very un-rushed allowing us to slowly enjoy each course and the drinks afterward. The atmosphere was relaxed and the food was delicious (I recommend the veil!) I'm not joking when I say that this was one of the best overall restaurant experiences I've had in Paris and for sure, I will happily recommend...

Établissement agréable et bien noté, je réserve pour faire la surprise à mon conjoint sur la pause déjeuner. Nous avons environ 1h15 pour manger. N'y allez pas si vous êtes pressés, le temps d'attente est énorme pour seulement 4 tables dans la salle. Nous signalons que nous devons partir à 45, à 13h10 l'entrée n'est toujours pas servie. Je commande un plat avec des garnitures, un ramequin et des beignets, jamais servis car apparemment ça a été remplacé par des pommes de terre et des carottes... 24€ le plat pour ne même pas avoir ce qui était promis. Et on me dit ensuite qu'on m'a prévenu alors que pas du tout. Nous avons reçu nos plats en décalé, mon conjoint avait presque fini quand ai reçu le mien et il n'avait même pas sa garniture, il l'a eu quand il avait terminé son poisson. Idem pour la carafe d'eau demandée à la commande et reçue à la fin du repas. On nous a offert l'apéritif à la fin, c'était la moindre des choses, je remercie tout de même le geste. Je ne pense pas que demander à être servis en même temps, dans un temps raisonnable, et avec ce qui a été commandé est une exigence trop élevée. Nous avons bien mangé, la nourriture était bonne, mais ça ne compense pas le désagrément pour 54€ avec une entrée partagée et 2 plats non complets. Au final nous sommes partis en retard, j'ai été en retard pour mon travail et ça m'a mise en galère pour tout l'après-midi. Nous ne reviendrons pas ça...
