A proper pub in the heart of Paris. I’d initially walked past while out for a bit of biz dev work mixed with exploration, and the jovial crowd out front complemented by laughter and the light clatter of glasses and cutlery left a lasting impression you could say. Because as soon as my “professional” to-do list was complete I immediately knew where I’d be headed for the England v Denmark match.
And to refer to The Lions as a pub does perhaps do it a bit of a disservice, for while they have all the features and fixtures one would expect to find in a pub, they’ve also lounge-esk seating in the form of couches, intimate booths for a night out with the family or that special someone, and but of course the countertop seating for those of us who like a bit of introverted socializing.
By the way, my sincerest complements to the kitchen. I’ve most certainly tried more than my fair share of burgers, sandwiches, and the like, yet The London District easily places in the top five and perhaps even the first three. The steak fillet and bbq sauce complemented each other in a truly remarkable fashion. To be blunt, I had to exercise restraint so as not to essentially inhale it 😅.
Plus the other patrons and guests were truly a delight to share the afternoon with. All in all many thanks for a fantastic experience, it was “just what the doctor ordered” following a taxing day at the office, and I very much look forward to visiting at the earliest...

Didn't feel that British but maybe I just had a pre-conceived idea in my head going in, and it was for a pool match between England and Scotland, so maybe not mobilizing the expat population on that particular evening to a huge extent (also covid times could certainly be at play here I suppose). Good fries with large helpings and very reasonable prices for Paris. Staff perfectly nice, and they let me reserve a table. Good disposition of screens for watching sports ! Recommendation : Would be really great if they considered offering more and better quality cider in my opinion and this would definitely add to the "British pub" experience (if they are looking...
Read moreThis place is crazy when it comes to big game times, especially when Arsenal is playing. If you are a gunner, this bar is for you. I came to know about this bar in 2023, and I have always been coming here to watch Arsenal's matches since then. People are friendly, people working at bar are kind, foods are good and of course, the choice of beers are also so good. In other words, this place is my escape from a long...
