The restaurant was close by to the hotel I was staying and the menu looks super good so I went to get some lunch. Arrived just before the lunch peak period around 1 pm and got seated at the big table in the middle. The line outside waiting for takeaway actually crowded up the whole front window and people waiting for table crowded around the big table in front of the door. The table quite tight so if you are two people seated on the middle table, there is actually no where to put your bags or jacket. The ladies seated next to me asked to put their stuffs on the seat opposite from mine as I was by myself. I ordered a donburi of Prawn tempura and some ice tea. The prawn was good but I found the mayo topping to be a little too much and overwhelmed the whole plate. Nice ice tea 🧋I was planning to have dessert afterwards but for how chaotic and busy it was I decided to skip. The restaurant is cute but I guess I had missed the mark with the food...

I ordered a Donburi karaage (chicken). At ~16€, plenty of other places in Paris can give you a better deal: The chicken is good but in small pieces which reminds me of Mc Donald's chicken nuggets. The quantity is barely more than a snack, not a meal. There's only rice and pieces of chicken. No pickles, no vegetables nothing else to go with the meal. A real Japanese Donburi would have all of the accompanying pickles and maybe even some miso soup.
All in all, a disappointing experience. Maybe I should have...
Read moreVisited Fuuki after a long day of walking and traveling through Paris. We were trying to find a restaurant still open at late hours, and luckily stumbled across an amazing restaurant that was Fuuki. We were greeted and sat down at a table, and the ambiance was amazing. From the traditional Japanese decor and amazing lighting to the great service, it had all we could ask for. I ordered the chicken ramen, and it was delicious. Tender pieces of chicken combined with the chewy noodles and rich, delicious broth made for an amazing bowl of ramen. Our two servers, Emily and Sean, were friendly and attentive. They took great care of us. If you’re in Paris, Fuuki...
