We reserved dinner at 4 PM for 2 people and were very excited to end our trip with a raclette dish. However, when we showed up, despite nice interiors the atmosphere wasn't too cosy, which might have been because of the early hour. There was no music playing and the staff seemed tense, not too friendly, not really attentive although most of the tables were empty. We came for the grill and didn't get any instructions on how to use it or prepare our food, which I felt would be the key experience in such a place. However, we really liked both our raclette and wine.
Unfortunately, our visit didn't end well. My wife ordered charcuterie and right after we came home she got severe food poisoning. We suspect this was caused by a sausage which wasn't fresh and/or was badly prepared before it was served to us. With the service being quite messy, unfortunately this adds up to a really bad experience. We're disappointed and I don't think...
Read moreWas very excited for fondue but I cannot give a good review. The service was not good. It took a long time for our order to be taken. The table next to us was sat just prior to us. They had their food before anyone even acknowledged us. The table on the other side of us had been eating for awhile and their cheese had hardened. They kept stirring but finally got someone to come over and fix it for them. The server told them not to let the pot get so hot. Well, there was only one option, we don’t have control, over the coils. We got our cheese and it was like a soup. There was a milky liquid and then some melted cheese. I stirred and stirred but it would not mix together. Dipping the bread didn’t get cheese to stick to the bread.the bread just came out wet. No one ever came to ask how things were. No one ever came to even turn off the coils, so the cheese just burned into the bottom of the pan. The coils were still on when we...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Les Fondue de la Raclette in Paris, and it was an unforgettable experience! The highlight of the evening was indulging in their mouthwatering fondue raclette. At our table, we melted an assortment of cheeses and then wrapped the gooey, molten cheese around slices of delicious dried beef. Every bite was a burst of flavor, and it left us craving for more.
Beyond the delectable food, the restaurant's ambiance was delightful. The waiters were not only attentive but also incredibly friendly and funny. Their playful banter added to the overall enjoyment of our meal, making it a memorable dining experience.
If you're a cheese enthusiast, Les Fondue de la Raclette is a must-visit destination in Paris. However, I highly recommend reserving a table in advance because this place can get quite busy. Don't miss the opportunity to savor this cheese-lover's paradise. I wholeheartedly...
