I strongly suggest to book in advance if you wanna find a table here for brunch. They exclusively offer it on Saturday from 11am, and we visited this restaurant to test it out.
I was quite pleased with the brunch selection overall, the venue is comfortable and the service was on point.
In terms of food I enjoyed the overall experience of it but for each serving I believe there is room for improvement. The initial serving with the scone and pastry needs to have a little bit more quality, scone was slightly too dry and not much flavor. The cinnamon roll also needs a little bit more love from the chef. Following the pastries the yogurt with granola was good but far too simple, a little bit more granola or throwing in a couple berries is always beneficial and would elevate the yogurt a bit. Concluding our meal we had the main dish, one with trout and the other with a vegetarian tart. Both were pretty good but the onions were too overpowering in the tart and the pâté that came with the trout was a lil too fishy and buttery for my taste, but that’s subjective. Objectively I just think both plates need a little bit more thought and something connecting all the dishes together.
My idea of a grade for this place would be a 3.5 stars but since there’s not an option for that I decided to stick with a 4 star as I believe it represents better the experience compared to a 3 star.
In conclusion I do suggest this place for brunch but I do wish they...
Read moreMy friend and I had an amazing time here.
The place is cosy and cute.
The brunch menu is well worth it, with a well balanced amount of sweet and salty dishes, all of which being of superb quality and healthy. My friend couldn't have the scone that comes with the menu and asked to replace by a pastry (which taste she qualified as pure bliss), the staff obliged in exchange of a little extra on the bill. Which is very arranging to Parisian standards :) The price is ok. 24€50 (+1€ if you take smoked salmon) which is decent providing the quantity and quality you get.
Please note: It's preferable to book. We were lucky enough to arrive just in between services (2 services for brunch the second starting at 1:30pm), but the owner said in winter, booking is a must. When the service for brunch in on, it's too early to come for just a hot drink + pastry. As the place is relatively small, so the people taking the brunch will have the priority on...
