Absolutely delightful!
As Australian tourists, I do my best to speak French wherever we go, but we peeked in the window of this cafe and had to look closer at the delicious cakes. The waitress was incredibly lovely and polite, offering to translate ingredients into English if we couldn't work them out.
The desserts are incredibly rich and not super sweet, like we are used to in English-speaking countries, but you can tell there's a rich quality and focus on ingredients in the dishes so that you don't need to pump it full of sugar. My partner had an acorn and I had the chocolate dessert; I was unable to finish mine as it was so rich and I didn't want to chow down just to avoid waste, so they kindly let us take it with us.
Absolutely lovely ambience, delicious food and such lovely staff! The coffee was bitter compared to what I'm used to in Australia, however it was well-made and the cappuccino was...
Read moreI had a lovely time at Wonderland Patisserie. The people are lovely, the pastries arr intriguing, the coffee is great which is not very common in the 14th! I tried the Armelle, which was tasty albeit a little too sweet for my palate, the highlights were chocolate filled with passion ganache at the top and the apple-passion filling in the center which were very good and fresh, however the little macaroon was a bit deceiving (dry and too sweet) and the cream/white chocolate dome could have been lighter and less sweet. But the whole works well combined, it's a very gourmand, elaborate and fun pastry made with quality ingredients. I will definitely be back to try their other fruit based creations. I definitely recommend this cosy quite place, the other visitors seemed very satisfied with their orders whenever I passed by, which says a lot about the consistency as well as quality of...
Read more🍰 Looks beautiful and tastes good! I'm always worried that when there's a big focus on the aesthetic, that the taste won't follow but that's not the case here. I had the "Wonderforest" and the trees were filled with a light vanilla mouse, which balanced well with the dense chocolate-passionfruit base. Also had the vanilla flan, it was flavourful and the crust quite thin 👍
🧑🏻🍳 Friendly staff!
🪑 Love the setting: very earthy with plants and wooden tables. Not the typical "patisserie" vibe.
💰 Patisseries are 7€ for takeout and 7.70€ for eat in. A little pricey compared to traditional patisseries but then again these look a lot more time consuming to make 😅
⏳ Went there around 3pm on Saturday. Place was busy but found a table for two quickly.
❤️ Second time here and will definitely recommend to friends if they're...
