Let me start by saying that the food was absolutely amazing. We ordered two Ramen, 2 chicken plates, gyoza and spring rolls. I didn't eat more because I could no longer fit any more food in my stomach. I have gone my whole eating Ramen life without ever having Ramen with the texture that it had here. I was in heaven. The broth was exceptional. Perfect amount of umami, salt, sweet.. I could drink a pot full of just the broth. We didn't have to add any extra condiments to add or mask flavors, it was perfect. You could say it stole the show. The spring rolls and gyoza were not far behind at all, absolutely tasty. And the chicken dishes were also very good. The sauce they came with was perfect blend of vinegar and sweet. My only regret was not finding this place sooner in our trip. Next, the owner, absolute sweetheart. We went with his recommended plates. He knew exactly what my kids would like and he made us feel very much at home. Sweet, caring, funny, we loved the food but he made the visit...

I appreciate that fried crispy chicken with rice, mixed with eggs is not a flavourful dish. Which is why, you often have katsu curry with it. It did have a small dip (Schezwan I think), which appears to be one of the main dips they have ready. As the same one came with the starter. But it needed sauce with it (probably best kept separate). Again, the rice and chicken were pleasant, but it needed some sory of flavour to go with the texture.
The udon noodles and beef again, well texturly nice, the sauce (unknown sauce, soy based it seemed) was lacking much flavour. I appreciate again it can be hard to balance flavour, as tastes vary palate to palate. Sauces can be overwhelming as well. It wasn't salty, no MSG. So that being said, they have a good base, but it needs more. I wouldn't be happy serving it at home.

We discovered the quaint little unassuming Mian Fan in January and have been dreaming of a time when we could come back again ! The flavors combinations are out of this world …. Salty, sweet, fresh, citrusy… the dim sum 🥟 are delicious and perfectly prepared . The Beef Thai salad is fresh and satisfying on soooo many levels . All of the main dishes have been very satisfying. The portions are not HUGE but more than enough- what I like about this is that they are focused on quality NOT quantity. With each dish you will find fresh ingredients prepared well and served in a way that is delightful to all your senses !
The Menu is in French however if you ask they have a QR code which delivers an English menu to your smart phone.
The staff is efficient and friendly and have made all of our visits quite comfortable.
