The owner of this restaurant is insanely rude. Like disgustingly rude. Miserable and bitter man, though the servers were as nice as they could be. We tipped our servers kindly but he pocketed the tip for himself. For some reason he thought he deserved to that tip even though he refused us service at first (but was servicing white families with no reservations without protest) and gave us ugly looks the entire time we were eating. Never checked on us like he checked on other tables but instantly got critical and rude about us needing to order more food or else we would be kicked out. It made me feel so uncomfortable and angry that I paid by tab and left while my grandparents contributed to eat (they were cold and hungry). No goodbye, No thank you for coming in. We easily spent $300. The highlight of my trip in the worst way. I’ve told all my friends and family about how terrible the service was. Not to mention the desert fondue was microwaved chocolate (but somehow cold) in a small bowl and chopped up, wellllll overriped pears (soggy, chewy, colored wrong). I had a stomach ache later that day and I’m not sure if it was from the disgusting service or the disgusting food. Cheese was good but please don’t support...
Read moreThe food was great, tasted great, and looked fresh. Unfortunately, the service/atmosphere didn’t match the food quality. The service started out a little rough, as they greeted us in French, we said we only knew a few words, and they proceeded to give us menus in French. While asking questions we were a bit rushed to order. When the food came, it looked great, and the waitress explicitly said to “keep stirring/moving” the fondue so it wouldn’t sit for too long. After a while, I was doing so, and someone came running and told me to “stop, do not do that, it’s too hot!” without any explanation/context. They turned off the grill on the table, and said nothing else. After a while I requested that they turn it back on because the other dish, which required hot oil to cook the meat, was cold, and I still had half of the dish to cook. We tasted the fondue, and at that point it tasted like burnt cheese. Unfortunate that the first half of the dinner was fresh and delicious and the other half was a disaster and didn’t taste as good as it was intended. The space is nice, but it looks like it needs a little bit of a renovation. Portions are big, don’t be fooled by the waitstaff telling you that the fondue is for “one...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this restaurant every other year since 2014 and it was a favourite of mine. Yesterday I had probably the worst experience I ever had in a restaurant in my life. I was with my sister and my 10y old niece so we were three small girls and we ordered an onion soup, a beef fondue and a raclette plate to share as we have done in all restaurants in Paris this trip as we simply cannot have full meals. The waiter was beyond rude and refused to let us order a starter and 2 mains even if we had a 10y old child having an adult full meal. He was argumentative, made us very uncomfortable and I was beyond embarrassed with the entire experience. To top it off, he then served us without another word, making the rest of the meal unbearable. I also believe he was the most senior in the restaurant as the rest of the staff was friendly which is even worst to think of. Absolutely will not be coming back which is a shame since it was an all time favourite and I had never been told this “rules”...
