All our meals in Paris have been great during our stay here, but we wanted a change from the French fare we’ve been having. Happy Noodles was so close and so well reviewed we felt it was worth a try. I had (medium) spicy beef noodles, my wife had the crunchy chicken noodles, and our daughter, who didn’t think she was hungry got a serving of dumplings. We all loved our chosen dishes and suddenly our daughter regained her appetite and helped finish my wife’s bowl. The portions were generous, the prices were very good for this area, and the service was fast and friendly. We chose to sit outside on a cool-ish evening so we did not have to wait for a table inside. There seemed to be a lot of regular customers who did not mind waiting. Would absolutely go again if our...
Read moreAfter finishing my meal, I was waiting to check out. The staff member responsible for billing had clearly seen me first, but at that moment she had stepped out from behind the counter to take an order from another table. While I was waiting, a French-speaking white woman approached from my left and stood beside me. I said clearly to the staff member, “I came here first, so I’d like to check out first.” She appeared to hear me, yet she returned to the counter and immediately started billing the other woman, completely disregarding me and my request. When I confronted her about allowing the other customer to skip the line, she claimed she didn’t understand English. That’s quite interesting🤨,if she didn’t understand what I said, shouldn’t she have at least asked me to clarify, instead of ignoring me altogether? Or is ignoring non-French-speaking customers actually part of your service policy? If you enjoy being treated with indifference and rudeness simply because you don’t speak French,or perhaps because you’re not white🤣this place might be just for you.

J’ai dit clairement à la personne du personnel : « I came here first, so I’d like to check out first.
Read moreDelicious authentic Chinese food. It was difficult to find an authentic Chinese restaurant in Paris but we stumbled across this one having been attracted by the Head Chef making the noodles at the shop front from scratch and the staff were very friendly and welcomed us right away.
We ordered the shrimp dumpling noodle soup and expected only the noodles to be fresh and homemade but to our delight, the dumplings were full of actual shrimp, not the usual flour, and we saw the lady behind the counter make them. The broth was delicious and we only waited 5-10 mins for our food too.
This is a gem. If you haven't tried authentic Chinese food, this is the first place...
