All our meals in Paris have been great during our stay here, but we wanted a change from the French fare weâve been having. Happy Noodles was so close and so well reviewed we felt it was worth a try. I had (medium) spicy beef noodles, my wife had the crunchy chicken noodles, and our daughter, who didnât think she was hungry got a serving of dumplings. We all loved our chosen dishes and suddenly our daughter regained her appetite and helped finish my wifeâs bowl. The portions were generous, the prices were very good for this area, and the service was fast and friendly. We chose to sit outside on a cool-ish evening so we did not have to wait for a table inside. There seemed to be a lot of regular customers who did not mind waiting. Would absolutely go again if our...
Read moreAfter finishing my meal, I was waiting to check out. The staff member responsible for billing had clearly seen me first, but at that moment she had stepped out from behind the counter to take an order from another table. While I was waiting, a French-speaking white woman approached from my left and stood beside me. I said clearly to the staff member, âI came here first, so Iâd like to check out first.â She appeared to hear me, yet she returned to the counter and immediately started billing the other woman, completely disregarding me and my request. When I confronted her about allowing the other customer to skip the line, she claimed she didnât understand English. Thatâs quite interestingđ€š,if she didnât understand what I said, shouldnât she have at least asked me to clarify, instead of ignoring me altogether? Or is ignoring non-French-speaking customers actually part of your service policy? If you enjoy being treated with indifference and rudeness simply because you donât speak French,or perhaps because youâre not whiteđ€Łthis place might be just for you.

Jâai dit clairement Ă la personne du personnel : « I came here first, so Iâd like to check out first.

We ordered the shrimp dumpling noodle soup and expected only the noodles to be fresh and homemade but to our delight, the dumplings were full of actual shrimp, not the usual flour, and we saw the lady behind the counter make them. The broth was delicious and we only waited 5-10 mins for our food too.
This is a gem. If you haven't tried authentic Chinese food, this is the first place...
