Parisian people must feel lucky to have access to such a treasure. After tasting Berthillon's ice creams, the other products seem tasteless and spineless. The difference is that the Berthillon remains on your tongue a few seconds.
Since 50 years, Mr. Raymond Berthillon, who is the founder, has been preparing himself the vanilla ice cream every morning. It is also the most successful flavor...Not so surprising! It was also the very first flavor to be proposed. During winter, the bestseller becomes the "marron-glacé" ice cream, with genuine chestnut chunks.
The prices are reasonable for such a quality. The company does not spend a single penny in advertising. It is a warranty of a good price. You'd better buy them at 31, rue de Saint Louis en l'Ile, (that's where it is the cheapest).

We had the iced tea, which was very sweet, but overall well balanced and delicious, as well as a Coco milkshake, which was another pleasant surprise. With frothy chunky ice and thick coconut pulp, it was a great refreshing milkshake, perhaps a touch too sweet, but as an American I could enjoy it.
I'll certainly be back, despite being full and very busy, we only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table, so they are efficient and know what...
