I recently tried the chicken and beef curry from Indian taste restaurant with my family. My experience was a mixed bag. The curry had a decent flavor, but it wasn't anything exceptional. Both the chicken and beef were a bit overcooked, making them tougher than I would have liked. The curry had a fair balance of spices, but it was spicier than we expected, especially since we asked for a mild version. This made it a bit challenging for our kid to enjoy. The chili chicken was unexpectedly sweet, which was a letdown as we were expecting a spicy dish. The dosa was also not good—it was soggy and lacked the traditional crispiness. The portion size was on the smaller side, which left us wanting a bit more for the price we paid. Additionally, when we asked for butter for our paratha, we were told that the restaurant didn't have any, which was surprising and a bit disappointing given it’s an Indian restaurant. On a positive note, the mango lassi was quite good, with a nice balance of sweetness and richness of mango. However, the vanilla shake was way too sweet for our taste. Overall, it was an average meal. While it wasn’t terrible, it didn’t stand out either. If you’re looking for a quick curry fix, it might be worth a try, but don’t set your...
Read moreVery very harmful for health. As I like appam, we went here a lot of times.
We had a bad experience with dishes the way they are.
One time we took biryani with eggplant as a side dish. Biryani was ok but eggplant was awful and smells like prepared a long time ago ( it was the peak of winter, curries won't spoil 2 to 3 days in winter even they are outside of the fridge, assume how old it was).
Servant just replaced it with a freezer item (it was just an ice-cold version of the previous one). We just paid the check and escaped. As a typical Indian, I excused them and told my self mistakes can happen some times.
Very next visit, it was pathetic than the previous experience.
We just order veg south Indian meal and this time Sambar, Rasam, Porial (a fried version of legumes) are smells like they prepared a long ago, this time I told them one time it was a mistake but repeating the same is unforgivable.
Without shame, they replied they are very good probably mistake was with you.
LOL, I am an Indian, I knew the taste difference and age difference of a dish.
Please do not play with our health and moreover, we are paying more than what we spent in french...
Read moreThe first time I went here, with an Indian friend, we were able to order everything and it tasted alright. I've tried returning three times with other friends, and each time I was told "no appams," including this time. Every time I thought it was just bad luck... but then I noticed they served some today to the table behind me. When I asked when they would have them, they told me "if you come before 6pm," which clearly wasn't true. The cherry on top was that they tried to overcharge us when paying, a very obvious "mistake" that no one able to do a simple subtraction would make, with no apology when we pointed out the correct price, just "oh yeah." The food you're allowed to order is ok, though you can get just as good or better in other restaurants nearby... certainly not enough to make up for the treatment. I'll definitely...
