Nestled in the heart of the 7th arrondissement, just a stone’s throw from the Eiffel Tower, lies this absolute gem of a restaurant! Run by a powerhouse husband-and-wife duo—both of whom have crafted menus as executive chefs in some of France’s most renowned kitchens—this bistro delivers refined French cuisine in an intimate and inviting setting.
From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. Every dish was crafted with precision and passion, showcasing the highest quality ingredients.
For starters, we indulged in a selection of house-made delights—salmon gravlax, trout, vongole, and foie gras—each one bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The cabillaud was beautifully cooked, delicate yet rich in taste, highlighting the freshness of the ingredients. My chicken and risotto, on the other hand, were simply outstanding—the chicken was incredibly succulent, pairing perfectly with the creamy, flavorful risotto.
To finish, we couldn’t resist the desserts. We savored the daily special, Poire Belle Hélène, along with a decadent chocolate tart and classic profiteroles—each one a masterpiece in its own right.
This was, without a doubt, one of the best meals we’ve had in Paris. A huge thank you to the entire team—we’ll...
Read moreWe can’t believe this restaurant has a bib gourmand from Michelin. Looking at the reviews, we are wondering if they recently started cutting costs. There were only two servers for a completely full house; they had to have the bartender and someone from management serve. As a result, there were long waits for some parts of the meal.
Worse was the poor quality of the food. The rib steak for two was largely inedible: while seasoned and prepared well, it was a terrible cut that should never have been served. It was chewy, gristly and more than half fat. When we mentioned it to the manager, she claimed that the problem was with us Americans — the French liked their meat that way. Utter nonsense.
My scallops were delicious but they were accompanied only by a bowl of uncooked spinach leaves heavily sprinkled with raw garlic and over-sauced with a pedestrian dressing. The roast chicken was bland, although accompanied by fresh, well-cooked vegetables.
Dessert was very odd. The “fig tartlet” consisted of a hard, store-bought shell with a bit of fruit sauce, a fresh fig and a dollop of lovely cream.
We would never return to...
Read moreCame too early about an hour before our reservation. Was received by a grunting servant who told us to wait until our reserved time though the restaurant was still 80% empty. We waited and the grunting servant asked to order wine for waiting at axstanding table. As we did not want wine whe went away grunting again. We decided to wait 15 mins to see if we can get one of the empty tables, but the renting servant just ignored us and let us wait at the standing table without even making any effort to host their guests. Evidently this restaurant does not take care of their clients and has too many guests to be able to afford to treat them however they like. But maybe it’s also because the restaurant is in a very touristy area where the restaurant typically get spoiled by reservations by tourists. We are not tourist to Paris, but simply were curious to try a Michelin beep. However, also from a Michelin beep my expectation would’ve beento be received as a guest and not as a...
