Royal Turenne — Restaurant in Paris

This place looked great and we were pleased to get a quiet seat inside on a Sat night. Our waiter spoke excellent English and was very helpful.My husband had a rump steak which was perfectly cooked, rare as requested, but was rather tough. I had Linguine avec legume and pesto - vegetables and pesto sauce. I received spaghetti which had been reheated, with some carrot slices, green beans, olive oil, garlic and Parmesan. When I queried where the pesto was, the waiter said vegetables were the pesto, would I like to change it. Too hard, I was hungry and I thought I had misunderstood. Then when we paid the waiter said service was not included, would we like to add something to the bill, which I did without thinking, But I had previously been told that this is not usual in France, service is included. THIS IS A SCAM. Do not go there. It started by all the dishes of the day were not available anymore, at 6:30pm... We were told so once our drinks were served. Of the course, the dishes "à la carte" were double the price. Then, they added things on the bill we did not order, hoping we would not notice. When my friend was about to pay, they asked if he wanted to add service. My friend is American and in the US, service is not included. But in France, service is included as per law. One usually leaves a euro or two. The server thought I was a translator. Unfortunately for him, I am French, a Parisian, and a lawyer and... I was with my friends. So no way to let them being screwed over!!! The worst part is that he started to argue and play the victim! So I insist, do...

We found this place while looking for a terrace in the Marais. How come there was room available there ? Maybe because thee waiters are at the top of what tourists can call "parisian desagreeableness" ? Or maybe because the food is absolutely disgusting ? We found hair in our salad and the heart of the salad had been left in the plate ! When the waiter came to ask us if we wanted some desert and we showed him what we had found in our plate, it was almost like it was our fault... In the end, he tried to scam us by making us pay 1.50€ more than the real sum we owed because we paid by credit card. When we told him, he was angry we were so mingy !!!
