Sacré Frenchy ! — Restaurant in Paris

It all started very pleasantly when I was greeted by who I believe owns the place. I told him I came to grab a bite while I wait for my friend (with whom I would have drinks later) and he readily sat me at what he called “the best table in the house”.

I ordered burger and fries at 6.26p, I had yet to be served at 6.51p when my friend joined me.

I did not mind it because at that point the waiter attending my table was pleasant but that changed when his shift ended and the following waiter was straight up unprofessional, rude and discriminatory.

My friend and I were totally ignored by this waiter the whole time we were there. The other tables were carefully tended to with candlelight, frequent visits, kind words - just good hospitality. My friend and I spent 96 EUR for food and cocktails (42 EUR on my end). Did we even get offered tap water? NO. Not even once. I asked if I could charge my phone. The rude waiter refused saying he was charging the tablets. I found out it was a lie when I went to pay because the lady asked me if I had asked to charge my phone earlier, I explained what had transpired and she replied: “you were unlucky, we charge customers’ phones all the time up here”. The last straw was as I was leaving the restaurant, the rude waiter who was then sitting down in the front stopped me and asked if I had paid. To add insult to injury, he insisted to know who I had paid the bill to, like he didn’t believe me, and he burst out laughing out loud.

Note to the owner: this waiter is a liability because he cannot work in hospitality if he is prejudiced. I will neither come back nor recommend your restaurants as long as he...

Just dont go here. From the moment we walked into the restaurant with 5 people, to the very end of our service, we felt like we were not welcomed because we "did not have a reservation." Which had we not just walked in on our way to some place else, we totally would have because we would have looked online. We the proceeded to wait long periods of time to be asked for drinks and food. Once we ordered our food it took almost an hour to even receive it. We were not checked in on once to even be told "sorry for the wait" or given an update on what was happening. Then once we got out food, two of the five meals were wrong. Those were my husbands and my meal. Which they would have known had our waiter asked if everything was correct or checked in after serving us. My meal was not what I asked for, I tried it anyways but I really did not like what I was served... so I didn't eat. Let's not mention the 3 steaks that were ordered and were so chewy that they were left unfinished as well. When it came to the bill, my husband proceeded to tell them that my meal was wrong and the waiter at the register just chuckled and said "sorry" and still made us pay for our full bill. This place was highly recommended but it fell way short. Perhaps I don't know "real" French cuisine, if there is such a thing, but would assume it would be more edible than our meals My 2 teenager's Angus steak was inedible. I tried a piece and it was very chewy and grizzly. We mentioned that steak was too hard and my kids didn't like it, but all she offered was 1 free dessert. For 2 meals. Sad. We ate better food on St Denes for half the price and more atmosphere. I don't recommend this place. Go find other delights in the side streets.
