Monde is my favorite, highly recommended.
However, it was quite a frustrating experience for me to wait for more than 20 mins waiting to check my bill though it’s almost closed for lunch and few ppl are in the pizzeria.
I clearly talked to the waiter that I would like to check and brought out my card sitting in my seat. During 20 mins waiting time I tried many times to have eye contact and smile to notice that I am still waiting but I was simply ignored all the time until I finally asked one of the waiter why I have to wait for that long.
And the answer is - I have to check at the cashier. Well, and I was confused that why the waiter cannot just tell me that the bill check is not at the table but cashier. And I got the reply - did you ask? 😂
It ends up that I finally paid my bill at table with a sorry but really, not a pleasant journey for me as a visitor to Paris this time.
Okay I just recalled that there’s no one sent us the menu as well (we understand that we can scan the code at the table but surely the waiter can also ask). I personally do not want to relate all of these unpleasant experiences to...
Read moreThe pizza was great, but I don’t consider it above expectations. There are other similar brick oven pizzas that would highly compare. Staff are friendly and speak Italian which plays on their brand. Now, the one thing that really bothered me was seeing one of the cook’s right arm covered in some sort of exposed rash, it looked like blisters and he was not wearing any gloves. Seeing this just turned me off from the food.. or at least I wonder if my food was exposed to anything. I also did not like that the cooks were touching their phones and then go back to the toppings. Sure, the pizza is cooked… but they were still adding the garnishing with their bare hands. At the end they were passing QR codes for us to leave them a review for exchange of a limoncello. Sorry, this won’t cut it. Please wear gloves and don’t touch your phones. We all know that’s not...
Read moreReally agreable staff. Smiling and welcoming. They really gave me the feeling they know what they're doing and do it with ease. Quite a feat given the seemingly constant rush of customers in this area of th city.
The food was super good. I don't have especially sophisticated taste but I felt like it was a really nice change from all the generic pizzas you can find everywhere. I ordered a Fromaggi and there was a nice mix of flavors.
The atmosphere however I personally felt was a little overwhelming but that's just my subjective reaction. I don't really like crowded places and I have to say it was, which is quite normal given the experience to be had !
Overall I had a good time at this pizzeria and I recommend for everyone who likes pizzas, especially those who don't mind eating in a crowded place. If you don't you can still...
