This was one of the best meals in Reims. Old fashioned cafe with booth seating. The decor and vibe are welcoming.
The staff are wonderful and clearly enjoy what they do. They ate busy but efficient and polite- even to the English;) They keep an eye on your glass of champagne 🍾 and come and top your glass up. Lovely small touches.
We shared whole meal as we can't manage on our own otherwise.
Select a bottle of champagne as we are in Reims as they had a huge range of champagne to choose from. We had a starter of delicious duck fioe grae. Followed by the champagne mussels - they are famous fir these- for good reason, almost all the tables were having mussels. Their other food on neighbouring tables looked very good too.
We selected the apple tart tartin- I struggle to describe how good this was. The apples cooked long and slow, just keeping their shape but soft enough that they just melt in your mouth. The sweet caramel which tetters on bitter is sensational with the sour creme. 👏 👏 👏

Food Issues:
Service Problems: The service was lacking. A waitress abruptly tossed a menu at me, said she didn’t speak English well and asked me to scan the QR code then immediately walked away. She didn’t give me even a second to ask questions. I understand language barriers, but basic patience and courtesy should still be expected, especially since the restaurant wasn’t busy.
Overall, a very underwhelming experience—wouldn’t recommend based...
