(4 of us for private day tour of Champagne region on a Wednesday in March). Overall, day included 2 wineries, a visit to a church and a park, and a lunch. Recommend this business for the ease, organization, and educational component of your day in Champagne region.

Our guide Thomas picked us up/dropped us off in a comfy van at our vacation rental in Epernay. First stop: small business Michel Tixier. Audrey was a lovely hostess. Provided us with great knowledge about Champagne making and regulations, as well as information about their specific wines. Fantastic tasting of 4-5 champagnes. Second stop: Chateau de Sacy for lunch. Recommend. Third stop: visited the tomb of Dom Perignon at Eglise Abbatiale in Hautvillers. Fourth stop: stopped at a nearby park overlooking the Vallee de la Marne. Fifth stop: visited small business P. Lancelot-Royer in the Cote des Blancs Grand and Premiere Cru village of Cramant. Eduard was our fun host. He supplemented our day's knowledge with more interesting information about champagne making in the region. We also tasted 4-5 delicious champagnes.

I so so so appreciate A La Francaise providing the ingeneous option/detail to ship all of our wine after the days outing; it was one less detail for us to figure out on our vacation time. I appreciated our guide Thomas' wealth of knowledge and passion about champagne making and history. Thank you for sharing your list of favorites with us. Upon reflection, I would have appreciated a third champagne visit, in particular to a big business in order to get...

An Effervescent Afternoon in Champagne Country 🍾✨

If you’re dreaming of golden bubbles, rolling vineyards, and a dash of international camaraderie, look no further than the afternoon champagne tour near Reims. This experience was nothing short of exceptional—from the first pop of the cork to the final toast.

Our guide and driver, Chloe, was the true star of the show. With her razor-sharp wit, infectious energy, and encyclopedic knowledge of Champagne’s history and production, she turned what could have been a simple tasting into a lively, immersive journey. She kept our spirited group in line (well, mostly!) with charm and humour, making sure everyone—from the UK to Australia, Argentina to the USA—felt welcomed and engaged.

We visited two distinct Champagne houses, each offering a unique glimpse into the artistry behind the bubbles. From the cool cellars to the sun-drenched tasting rooms, every moment was steeped in elegance and authenticity. The pours were generous, the stories rich, and the ambiance unforgettable.

The vehicle was a pleasant surprise—spacious, air-conditioned, and perfectly suited for our group of eight. It made the journey between vineyards smooth and comfortable, allowing us to relax and soak in the scenic beauty of the region.

This tour is a must-do for anyone visiting Reims. And if you’re lucky enough to be hosted by Chloe, you’re in for a treat that’s as sparkling as the Champagne itself. Highly recommended—cheers to an...

After watching "A Year in Champagne" on Netflix, I was inspired to further delve into this amazing industry more with a day trip to the Champagne region! After doing some research, I decided on Vine Escape as it included more in its itinerary then the other tours. So glad we chose the full day experience! We got to see a big champagne house (Moet & Chandon) with an informative tour, several smaller champagne houses, a visit to the church of Dom Perignon, a delicious lunch at the Vine Escape headquarters (a former champagne house), a champagne tasting class and finally a glass of champagne a top a hill overlooking the region. The trip was very laid back, comfortable and personable with fantastic discussions with the vineyard owners regarding the process of creating champagne. I developed a new found respect for the process, all while going through numerous champagne tastings! My favorite vineyard was Lancelots! Thanks to our amazing tour guide Lorelei who was super friendly and funny! Thanks Vine Escape for making our trip to France...

Safe to say there is new found respect for the art of champagne making and we are unlikely to take for granted every sip we take of this elixir! This was all thanks to Anne our guide who was very accommodative of not just our questions, but also the toddler in our group. Given the latter, we opted for a private tour which took us to three different Champagne houses and of course the Hautvillers Abbey (aka the Dom Perignon Church). We started our learning from scratch and Anne was more than happy to take our questions (however silly they might have been). The scrumptious lunch, which is included, was set in a beautiful garden that was embellished by Spring blooms and blue skies. In short, this tour was certainly the highlight of our trip to France.

I did the bike tour solo two weeks ago and it was a very nice experience. I discovered the region and Hautvillers that I didn't know much about. Biking with e-bikes is much easier and it was great to be able to enjoy the landscape without too much effort. We made few stops in the vineyards and Hautvillers so that our guide Chloé could explain us the step involved in Champagne process. She was very instructive and kind, while always being very funny. It was really great to share this day with the group, who were very friendly. After the bike, our guide took us on a tour of the Clos Corbier and the cellar. Finally, we shared an excellent meal while tasting delicious champagne and other wines. Thanks for the day Chloé 😉
