Banh Mi Viet — Restaurant in Rennes

Best bahn mi in France (at least that I have tried). Ive tried their beef, chicken, and pork, and for me the chicken wins. Its marinated in a lemongrass sauce. I live in Paris, and this is my ‘go to’ quick lunch while im shopping and site seeing in the gorgeous well preserved centreville of Rennes. This is not really a sit-down place; there are a few tables in a covered area, but little ambience. Its also nice that they are one of the few places that have service nonstop, so even at 4 pm for example i can find a tasty quick lunch. The service is exceptionally efficient and warm. This is a takeaway place so don’t expect a table. The bahn mi is ok. I find mine to have a decent amount of meat but quite dry as well. I am used to excellent bahn mi with pate, marinated sweet and salty meat (best when grilled), and sweet and tangy carrots, daikon with a hint of spicy from jalapeño pepper.
