Great place when you have a craving for meat. The chosen piece is served with choice of sauce and mixed veg or fries. 300g of meat was enough to satisfy my hunger for blood; on the other hand the serving of red wine was a little stingy. We went there rather early for a saturday night, but the waiter seemed already busy. Table management was poor: not everyone is in a raucous mood and just wish to enjoy his/her food. Consequently, the noise made us leave before dessert. Still, 5 stars for the food.

J’étais assez emballée par tout les avis et donc je ne m’attendais pas à être déçue.. nous étions 5, nous avons toutes pris un menu à 25€.. en entrée un tartare de saumon coupé en très gros morceaux, sans assaisonnements particulier, pas forcément agréable en bouche. Pour le plat une pièce du boucher très bonne et cuisson réussie accompagnée de sa purée maison (qui pour moi est un écrasé de pomme de terre très bon également) mais une fois encore pas d’assaisonnements.. Des amis on pris le cabillaud accompagnés de légumes .. poisson surgelés mais pas mentionné et légumes sans assaisonnements, ni sauce (légumes vapeurs) Et pour finir sur une note sucré le moelleux au chocolat. Bon mais pas fait maison à mon sens.. Je reste mitigée sur cette adresse, les viandes son de qualités et je pense que c’est leur atout, évitez de prendre les poissons. + service rapide + quantités copieuses même en menu + les viandes - Assaisonnements - doute sur certains produits frais ou fais maison - j’ai mentionné notre déception surtout concernant les poisson et on m’a juste dit « j’en parlerais en cuisine » dommage.. un geste aurait été le bienvenu.

J’étais déjà allée dans ce restaurant l’an dernier lors d’un passage à Rennes pour un concert : j’y ai remis les pieds lors de mon passage à Rennes cette année pour un concert (décidément 😅). Samedi midi en terrasse, il y avait beaucoup de monde donc forcément un petit peu d attente mais largement raisonnable, n’en déplaise à la femme aigrie de la table à côté qui ne faisait que de râler en disant que la serveuse n’était pas aimable : sachez Madame que vous recevez ce que vous dégagez donc lorsque vous passez votre temps à faire des remarques à quelqu’un sur un ton désagréable, la personne va finir par se fermer même si elle reste professionnelle. Vous avez un humain face à vous, pas une machine ! En ce qui nous concerne, nous y avons passé un très bon moment et même si je ne suis pas une grande fan de viande de base, il se peut que j’y retourne lors d’un prochain passage à Rennes en grande partie pour la qualité du service !

My review is just that, My experience on that day. I only compare a restaurant by My own expectation of value for money, I do not expect to get a Michelin star meal at a 12€ mains restaurant, café or take away, I do expect to receive value for money, and a reasonable level of service, therefor I rate the venue at the price/service/food range they intend to portray. Ratings do matter & some businesses are poorly judged by nasty, self serving people. Be fair and think before nastily judging on one bad point. Please Enjoy!

What a lovely little restaurant in a quirky medieval building. We had the menu de jour €18 which was a salad paysanne, mixed grill, and pain perdu for dessert. Everything was cooked to perfection and very well presented. There was a bit of a wait between the starter and main course which they apologised for but we weren't in a hurry so no problem.
