Pleasant surprise in the heart of St Malo to find such fresh Indian flavours, a welcome change from the usual tourist fare - which to be fair is mostly pretty good but perhaps a bit limited, especially if you're vegetarian and looking for options that don't feel like a compromise. Without doubt the best Indian inside Saint Malo Intra Muros, prob as close to a top class British Indian curry house you will find in this part of France, the place is small and intimate but welcoming. The menu is full of high quality items done to a very high standard. The 2 guys who run the place are very welcoming and friendly, speak good English and help if you want to practice your French, 1 of them is originally from the uk and trained as a chef in an Indian restaurant before moving to France. There are not that many restaurants or coffee bars with clearly marked vegan options in Saint-Malo. However, at Chapati Indian Street Food, there are at least 5 vegan options as a main course which are clearly marked. I had the vegetable curry with basmati rice, which was very flavorful.
