Le Bar à Tartines — Restaurant in Saint-Malo

This restaurant that I went to during my stay in Saint Malo was superb. It was a very cosy place and within 15 minutes of opening all tables were taken which is a good sign, I had the charcuterie plate and some wine and coffee and it was all absolutely first class and pretty reasonable 36 Euros for a lot. The cheese selection was very impressive and the whole meal was very palatable. When I left I was stuffed and needed the 25-minute walk to my hotel afterwards to walk it off. I saw other diners choose fish and chips and of course the legendary Moules and it all looked terrific and judging by the lack of uneaten food I would say it all tasted good. The Best Moules I’ve ever had! Out of the 5 French cities I’ve visited of my trip these were by far the tastiest. Cooked fresh and to perfection.

My mother had the Vegetarian Ravioli which was her favorite dish she’s had in France. As most people know, trying to find a tasty Vegetarian option in French restaurants is very difficult 😅

My partner was also very impressed with the snails and would recommend if you’ve never tried them before!

Service was friendly and they were happy to accommodate our dietary requirements. The prices of food and drinks were also very reasonable.

Very nice restaurant in Saint-Malo historic city center. Directors are very friendly and welcoming. « Tartines » are really tasty, menu is complete, and everything is homemade. Good value for money for this city. You should try this restaurant next time you’ll come in Britanny. I will come back...
