I'm still amazed at how Chef Benjamin could greet, make cocktails, cook, and serve his guests all by himself! The dishes were beautifully presented, and the flavors were spot on.

As a starter, we shared the tuna tartare, one of our best ever. The fish tasted so fresh, and the avocado was a nice touch!

We both wanted to try the steak for the main course, but my partner insisted on rare, while I prefer medium rare. To put our minds at ease, the Chef served us the meat at two different temperatures. How thoughtful!

Our second main course, salmon, shrimp, and rice, was well executed! The fish was tender and moist, the shrimp was flavorful, and the rice mixed with veggies was so tasty!

Even though we were full, we wanted to sample his dessert. We went with the chef's recommendation, crème brûlée with rum. We were in heaven!

Don't skip this place if you are in town. You...

My wife and I went here for lunch. Ib ordered Flank Steak with fries and Chorizo sause, with SXM Drink, and Creme brule Dessert. This was the BEST steak I've ever eaten. My wife got the Clam Linguini, with a Virgin Pina Colata, and Chocolate Mouse for dessert. She said this was the best Clam Linguini she's ever eaten. If you're in this area.... HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Very nice...

The food is very good. I had a duo of ‘dorade’ with gamba’s on a bed of rice with fresh vegetables. The other plate was 3 places of meat (duck, chicken and steak) with a sauce made of blue cheese and very good France fries. As dessert we had crème brulee and tiramisú with red berries. That was...

(English below) 👇 Sans conteste mon déjeuner préféré à Saint-Martin ! Hands down my favorite lunch experience in St. Martin! The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish, and the chef was so friendly and accommodating. He really impressed us with his service, running the entire operation on his own. We were really taken care of and loved the homemade banana rum shots at the end. I highly recommend L'essentiel!
