I have been a vegetarian for almost 5 years and I have been to many restaurants around the world, I can say that this restaurant is the best experience I have ever had as a vegetarian. I was apprehensive about ordering a vegetarian meal in France as everything is mostly steak and chips but this restaurant made me feel welcome and cared for. The waitress gave an option after hearing my dietary requirements (not on the menu) that was exquisite! I have never had a restaurant not only cook a vegetarian option off the menu so well, but give it so much care and consideration. Charming French Restaurant with a small menu and classy wine list. Cosy place with 3 dining choices, outside on front deck with view of street, inside or outside again on back deck with view of Old City Streets. It has a shortish menu overall, but with a number of foie gras choices (whole or pate) which typifies the region. Many of the dishes have an Oriental twist. There's lots of choice in Sarlat when you're looking for a good restaurant. Based on the reviews and prices, we thought that this restaurant would be an excellent choice for a quality culinary experience. The food was good, but the evening was marred by slapdash service. My wife ordered a starter and main course. I ordered a main course and dessert. My wife's starter didn't arrive and I was given a different main course to the one I had ordered, which resulted in us not being able to eat together.
