Manor Gisson — Attraction in Sarlat-la-Canéda

My mom and I visited this museum and we were so happy we did! It was very cool to see an original medieval manor house. Gorgeous interiors and very interesting information for every room. Beautiful old furniture and nothing roped off. So, you really got the feeling of what life could have been like living there. The basement was filled with worldly curiosities. If you like to visit places that appear authentic then this manor does well. You need to climb up winding stone stairs but there’s a rail to hold on to and as I’ve a new hip, that helped me. The rooms are well set out and you wonder how they managed to get the heavy wooden furniture up! The kitchen has some interesting features and the attic where the stone roof is visible.
