My mom and I visited this museum and we were so happy we did! It was very cool to see an original medieval manor house. Gorgeous interiors and very interesting information for every room. Beautiful old furniture and nothing roped off. So, you really got the feeling of what life could have been like living there. The basement was filled with worldly curiosities. There is a booklet in different languages that have information for each indicated room. This house has actually been used numerous times throughout history for film sets because of the authenticity of the architecture and decor. We spent about an hour and a half...

If you like to visit places that appear authentic then this manor does well. You need to climb up winding stone stairs but there’s a rail to hold on to and as I’ve a new hip, that helped me. The rooms are well set out and you wonder how they managed to get the heavy wooden furniture up! The kitchen has some interesting features and the attic where the stone roof is visible. As an old town house of some importance it’s a good place to visit with its regency musical background and we were surprised there weren’t more people there. It added to our...

Superb: this visit will make you jump back in ancient times. Authentic furniture, objects, paintings, with close access unlike in most of museums. Clear and concise explanations displayed on boards. It makes visitors think they live here ! I...

A fascinating site composed of two buildings of distinct architecture, one Gothic and one 17th century, connected to each other by a hexagonal staircase tower, the origins of this monument date back to the 13th century
