The mussels smelled really weird and had an odour that somewhat reminded me of an unclean bathroom. The whole restaurant smelled like this and we could even smell it outside the restaurant when we walked past it earlier in the day (we couldn't imagine it would be coming from the restaurant and instead assumed it came from a dry puddle of urine somewhere). The mussels weren't properly cleaned and many had their beards still left inside of the shells. It was a long time ago I was worried about potential food poisoning but I was worried after eating here. The smell even stuck to our hands and was really hard to scrub away with water and soap at home. Everyone else around us seemed to enjoy their food, but I don't expect mussels to smell like this. The pommes frites tasted alright, but had a soggy texture to them. Desserts tasted well, but they're clearly too expensive in comparison to what you get.

I can't for the life of me understand how this place has such a high rating. I wouldn't go here again if I visited...

Call me strange, but I like mussels, and the best part in eating mussels is to deep the bread into the broth that they cooked in. Well, you won't get that in this place. Instead of bread, they will serve their mussels with French fries. Moreover, this place doesn't have bread at all, and they even stated it on their menu. The explanation that I've got was - if we serve bread, you won't finish your mussels and French fries, and we don't want to waste it.... The last time I heard something like that was when I was in kindergarten. You are free to run in nearby supermarket and bring your own bread (that somehow not scares them of waste). To be honest, the mussels were really good what piss me off even more because of the waste of the broth. So it is up to you if you want to deal with this kind...

If you are a mussel lover you should visit this place that offers only mussels (plus French fries) cooked in 13 different ways. I really enjoyed the place and the waiter was really nice and friendly. Reason for the quite low score is that for some reason there was no toilet available on that evening (something I think should be impossible in a restaurant, particularly in these Covid times) and we had to wait more than one hour before getting our food... suggested to go there not in the weekend or at least to avoid busiest hours (and call in advance to check that the toilet is available!!) Ps the XL portion is...

If you like Mussels you have to go to La Minute Moule! You have the choice between small (14,50€), Medium (18€) and extra Large (21€) portions. If you are really into mussels take the extra Large, but a medium is enough for an adult. You can choice between different sauces the regular mariniere and two other are included, for +3€ you came choice between more special sauces. The mariniere sauce was superb! The menu comes with a free soft drink or you can add for 4€ a glass of wine. The service was really good as well. We had a good time at the restaurant and enjoyed our food, so definitely a recommendation.
