I experienced racial discrimination for the first time in my life at Disneyland in France.
Disneyland is nothing like Universal Studios. The staff here are completely racist. If you’re not French, don’t come to Disneyland Paris. This is not a fairytale land—it’s a place that makes you feel miserable. No one smiles at you. Everyone treats you with hostility. Especially in this restaurant.
First of all, if you’re not French, you’ll have to wait outside endlessly (even though this restaurant is very large, with dozens of tables, fewer than eight were occupied, and there were 11-15 servers). After waiting, a server with a sour face takes your order, and then you’re forced to wait even longer. The place is nearly empty, staffs were chatting with each other but just because you’re not French, you have to keep waiting!
After a long wait, the unfriendly staff finally seat you at the worst table—or at the bar only. Why? Because you’re not French. Only French people can grab a nice viewpoint table. They gonna give you an excuse, that table is for 4ppl, but actually when I had the meal, I found many tables were served for 2ppl who were French. We did pointed this, they just ignored us and refused to serve a good table for us.
And the U.S. headquarters won’t care about your complaint either. This was the worst experience ever. It’s nothing like Universal Studios!
I’ve been to Universal Studios in many countries, and the staff everywhere were genuinely kind and welcoming. I could really believe I was in a fairytale world. But in Disneyland Paris, all you’ll encounter is deeper...
Read morethis restaurant saved our disney experience from Bistrot Chez Remy, which left a really bad taste in my mouth. After experiencing such terrible service, we walked out and chanced upon this gem in the main park.
It had a queue but it moved pretty quickly, and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. upon placing our orders, we were ushered to our table and omg, the interiors of this place is just GORGEOUS!
pardon the cross-reference to non-disney themes, but this is what i imagine eating at one piece’s Baratie would be like! 😍 the theming was on point and the staff were all so helpful! this place could easily be rebranded as dinner on board the Black Pearl and it would have been even more thematic for disney and potc fans!
we were skeptical because reviews said the service was slow and the food was bad, but honestly i’ve been to all the disney parks around the world and food quality at the lucky nugget ranks in the top 2 easily!
they must have acted on the previous reviews because the moment we sat down, someone attended to us and we got our food within 5 minutes!
ordered the pork ribs and the food arrived piping hot and the portion was huge! would recommend getting this with fries, perfect for dinner on a cold night.
I can’t thank the staff and this place for existing because my disney day was almost ruined by Bistrot Chez Remy and i was utterly disappointed as a huge disney & ratatouille fan, but this dinner place truly saved my night and i will highly rec anyone who’s at the park to come here and grab lunch/dinner and enjoy the interiors & the warmth &...
Read moreHad dinner here tonight, 11/11/19. We are Disney fans and live in New York, USA. Usually I say Disney can do no wrong, however this restaurant proved me wrong. I knew something was amiss when, before being ushered to a table, I was directed to a cashier who rudely took my order and made me pay before I even sat down. I ordered the ribs, my wife got the fish and chips. We both ordered a glass of wine(which we also ordered a head of time), and mine came with lipstick on the rim! The waiter seemed pleased with himself when he came back and said he got me a fresh glass! Not sure if they used the same wine! I knew I was in trouble when no more than 90 seconds after we gave him our receipt, which had the order written on it, he came back with our food! It was faster than fast food! My wife said her fish was ok , but that it seemed like the fries were reheated in a microwave. My ribs weren’t cold, but they were dry and I had to search for the small amount of BBQ sauce they put on it. The meat was stringy and salty and the French fries were worse than I could have imagined. It also came with two onion rings- they were cold and cheap. The fruit salad for dessert was probably the best item we received. On the positive side, the restaurant itself was a beautiful “saloon” decorated like the early west, although there was no show that night- and no indication anywhere that they even conducted any shows. The meal cost 64euros, but wasn’t worth 30. I’ll never eat there again, and my impression of Disney is now greatly tarnished....a...
