I’ve written this review in sections because when I was looking at reviews before booking this hotel, this is the kind of detail I wanted. I hope this helps someone out there!||We recently stayed at Hotel Marvel for 4 nights and 5 days.||Bedroom:|- The room is very modern - the TV in the mirror is a nice touch.|- Cleanliness: Unfortunately, the room was not as clean as expected for the price paid. Upon arrival, we found pubic hair in the bathroom corners and stuck to the shower tiles, as well as long hairs on the wall. I always carry disinfectant wipes and sprays when I travel, and when I wiped down surfaces, I found thick dust.|- On our first night, we found a hair in the bed, small stains on the sheets, and holes in both the duvet and bed sheet. For a hotel in this price range, that felt quite careless.|- The carpet in the center of the room looked dirty and seemed like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a while.|- Only a small bar of soap was provided for handwashing - we felt liquid soap would be a more suitable option, especially at this price point.|- You do get small freebies like a notepad, pen, and two postcards, which was a nice touch.|- On a positive note, the bed was large and comfortable, and the room itself felt spacious, not cramped.||Staff:|- The staff were all lovely and helpful. A special shoutout to Chloe (if I recall correctly) from the Marvel shop - she took the time to ask us about our stay and made us feel very welcome. It was a genuinely kind interaction.||Breakfast:|- We paid for breakfast and honestly regretted it.|- The selection was limited, there was very little fresh fruit, and the cooked food was consistently cold, regardless of whether we went early or later in the morning.|- We wouldn’t pay for the breakfast option again.||Bars:|- Both bars in the hotel were lovely.|- There are Marvel-themed drinks available, which are fun but come with a steep price tag.||Marvel Shop:|- A cute little shop selling Marvel merchandise, along with snacks and drinks. It was convenient and fun to browse.||Pool:|- It was nice to have a pool on-site, and we had planned to use it each evening - but after one visit, we decided not to return.|- The "jacuzzi" is essentially just a lukewarm bath, likely kept cooler to accommodate children, but it doesn’t serve its purpose.|- The main pool is advertised as heated, but it felt very cold, to the point that even other guests commented on it.|- If your children plan to swim, I’d suggest bringing wetsuits - it’s really that cold.||Hotel Cleanliness (General Areas):|- The common areas of the hotel were generally clean and well-maintained.|- However, the hallway carpets leading to the rooms were quite stained and could use a proper cleaning.||Overall Impression:|We had an enjoyable stay overall. The location is excellent - just a short walk to Disney Village and around 10 minutes to the park itself. However, the cleanliness of our bedroom was disappointing and didn’t match the high price we paid. That was the biggest letdown...
Read moreThe only bad thing about this hotel is the price. God it cost a lot. But it's a very very big upgrade vs all other hotel below it. Yes it's a 4 stars.
I switch from Cheyenne to this hotel, split stay 2 days Cheyenne 2 days marvel and it was the best decision I could do.
First the service. Coming from the 3 stars hotel Cheyenne (that should be 2 stars) , I felt there was only like 5 staff working the entire resorts (without counting the maintenance staff and the cleanup crew). I'm talking about reception desk, information, food station, etc. At marvel? There was 5 person nearly at the door to tell me hello and ask if I needed any help. From the door, I could see a minimum of 2 persons at each desk station available, all of the ready to help. Big difference.
The ambiance. It's a brand new 4 star hotel that mimic new York, so it's big, grandiose, clean, fresh and have a lot of facilities. Indoor and outdoor pool, sauna, spa, hammam, exterior and interior gym, multi sport court, photo ops, marvel character meets, 2 restaurant (1 buffet 1 fine dining), 3 bar and lounge, a place to lwRn to draw character or to simply draw/fill and with tablets too, there's even a swimsuit dispenser if you forgot yours! And that's just the tips of the iceberg. There is a lot.
As for the room itself, it's magnitude better then Cheyenne. First the ac. While I still though it was on the weak side VS the hotel I had in Paris before, it was way better then Cheyenne. At Cheyenne, it was blowing cold air at 5km/h at 5cm from the grill. The temperature was actually rising during the night while it was at maximum. Not at marvel. It was blowing, and it was cold. Still was a bit weak and I think it never reached the set 19C I had, unsure.
Another thing is you don't need any place to put your room keycard to enable ac and lights like at Cheyenne. And Cheyenne even reset your set temp when you remove your card!
Bed comfort. 10 times better. Still a bit hard, bit the multiple pillow choice made it so much better. The rooms are so much more bright, and have so much space. There's even a chair at the end of both bed embedded in it. And the theming is just perfect. I wish WDW room where like that.
Weird thing was the shower. It used half a moving window as covering but it doesn't do a full cover. So half of the bath is exposed and you put a lot of water outside the tub on the floor. Bad design at that place.
Oh, there's a Bluetooth speaker in the bathroom, just that it's position on top of the toilet so it doesn't sound very much when you're in the shower. Talking about the shower, it's the best shower pressure I had in Disney including Disney world Florida.
We had 2 nights here and it was the best nights we had.
There is a breakfast buffet that is served at both restaurant. You get directed to one of them depending on current attendance but you get the same food. And the quality of the food at this buffet is mile better then Cheyenne although it's 99% the...
Read moreDisney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel offers a well-located and visually appealing option for those visiting Disneyland Paris, with its proximity to the parks and the Marne-la-Vallée Chessy train station being a significant advantage. The hotel’s theme, inspired by Marvel’s iconic superheroes, is thoughtfully implemented and adds a layer of excitement to the overall experience.
Room and Facilities We stayed in an Empire State Club room, which included lounge access. The room itself was well-designed, with modern amenities and subtle Marvel-themed decor that made the stay feel unique. The facilities were generally impressive. The swimming pool was large, well-maintained, and supervised by attentive lifeguards, ensuring safety for families. The sauna and steam rooms, while basic, provided a pleasant space to unwind after a day at the parks.
One drawback, however, was the lift service. The availability of lifts felt inadequate during peak times, leading to occasional delays, which can be frustrating after a long day of walking.
Empire State Club Lounge The lounge access, unfortunately, was underwhelming compared to similar offerings at other hotels. While the breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of hot and cold options to suit most tastes, the afternoon tea was disappointing. The selection leaned heavily towards sweet items, and the lack of savoury options, particularly sandwiches, made it feel unbalanced. Additionally, given the number of families staying at the hotel, more child-friendly options would have been appreciated.
Another issue was the limited service hours of the lounge. Unlike other premium hotels, where lounges offer 24/7 service, the restricted availability here made it less convenient. Expanding the lounge's operational hours would significantly enhance the experience for guests.
Food In general, I found the food to be overly rich. While this may appeal to some, a greater balance of lighter and simpler options would have been welcomed. This is especially true for families with young children or those seeking a reprieve from indulgent meals.
Service The staff were excellent throughout our stay—attentive, friendly, and professional. Their willingness to assist and accommodate guest needs was commendable, contributing positively to the overall experience.
Overall Experience Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel is a good choice for those visiting Disneyland Paris, particularly given its superb location and well-maintained facilities. While there are areas that could be improved—such as the Empire State Club Lounge offerings, lift service, and the balance of food options—the hotel still provides a comfortable and enjoyable stay. For Marvel enthusiasts or families seeking a themed experience close to the parks, it is a solid option, though there is room for refinement to truly match its...
