La Tanière du Dragon — Attraction in Torcy

A hidden gem nestled beneath Sleeping Beauty Castle! This atmospheric walkthrough features an incredible animatronic dragon that occasionally wakes up and growls — a real surprise for first-timers. It’s dark, moody, and very well-themed.

It’s very easy to miss if you don’t know it’s there. There are two subtle entrances, one from within the castle and one outside near the side path. Highly recommended for those who love the details and magic of Disney storytelling.

This is a side attraction that you’ll spend very little time in, make no mistake, but it is quintessential to the amount of work and care that was put into Disneyland Paris. This was an opening day attraction, with a considerably large animatronic dragon right smack dab in the middle of the park. It’s so cool to just… see! And watch for a few minutes. The Dragon’s Lair is situated beneath the Disneyland Castle, and is a must visit walkthrough ride at the theme park. It might not be immediately obvious where the entrance is for people who have never previously been on the ride. There’s an external entrance outside the castle and internal steps down into the lair.

The walkthrough consists of a dimly lit cavern with a large dragon sleeping silently. Occasionally it will 'wake up', puffing smoke and growling.
