Not sure how to rate that one.

My inly Gueuleton I had done before was Lille’s, and there we had a blast. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was rocking.

That is why I was itching to try Toulouse’s where I understand the Gueuleton story started. The first restaurant opened in Agen and then the second shortly after in Toulouse.

Upon entering we were underwhelmed by how empty it was, at least on our floor. There was a lower a floor we could not see.

The upper deck started getting a bit fuller as people came in for dinner around 9:30pm, whereas we had arrived around 8:30pm.

All that to say that we did not get the chanting and dancing experience we got in Lille.

Atmosphere aside, what about the food??

Appetisers were bland and lacked a lot of seasoning! We had taken the pleurote (mushroom) and the octopus chorizo dishes. Meh.

For the meat however we went with a 60-day dry aged Simmental. My oh my how good was this meat!! Perfectly cooked, amazing crust, pink end to end. And the meaty flavour coming out of this dry aged beauty was to die for!!

I knew this breed as I cook it at home and it is always a home favorite!

Service was great. Kudos to the team!!!

Would I come back to Gueuleton? Yes as I am testing them around the country. Would K come back to one I had already tested? Yes maybe the one from...

I discovered Gueuleton because I had one of the very first OFYR BBQs, and while looking for ideas on YouTube for this mix between grill and plancha, I came across those cheerful Gastronom fellows. The opportunity came up—we were four (a German, an Irishman, a Swede, and a Swiss). Many thanks to the whole team for their straightforward professionalism, their kindness, their advice and the quality! They give a very positive image of French art de vivre and hospitality. From the aperitif to the digestif, we had a fantastic evening—one we’ll definitely talk about again. And since we were in Toulouse talking rugby, we scored a try, converted it, and won...

What an awesome restaurant! If you love meat, this place you MUST visit. Great aged steaks are there in glass refrigerators, you can see them all :) I went there alone. It was already fully booked, when I arrived. I begged to have a seat at the bar. And man, how tasteful was my 481 grams of Black Angus beef. Presented perfectly with top garnishes. Other peeps who were with 4 or 5, got very big pieces of meat, 1,4 / 1,8 LG's of that juicyness. 'Sharing the beef'! This is one place, I can only return to once a year sadly, then I am on travel. But, forsure will return there next year ❤ Thank you awesome dinner for me!
