After six weeks in France, I was seriously missing real Mexican food — and La Sandia came through in the best way possible. I went with a group of ten, and every single one of us left happy and full, which says a lot!
As a Mexican, I’ll admit I came in with low expectations. It’s not easy to find authentic or satisfying Mexican cuisine abroad, and portion sizes in France tend to be on the smaller side. There's also a patio right in front of the canal to enjoy a sunny drink. Room is spacious, well laid out, and clean. To resume, the room you want to peacefully rest after a workday. I enjoyed the chef’s special of the night with was like an aubergine frittata. With rice and beans. Wonderful flavors. I asked for a side of spicy sauce, which had sone heat.
